Thanks for sharing this information. Not all coral shops share what they feed their corals.

Great video! In your opinion which food is better for sps?
@queencitycorals8 ай бұрын
I prefer Reef Roids, but if your nutrients are a little higher then I would recommend benepets!

Any thoughts or opinions on Fritz Coral Max coral food?
@queencitycorals7 ай бұрын
We haven't used it before so I don't have any opinions unfortuntely

@@queencitycorals gotcha thanks for the input. I was at a LFS and asked if they had reef roids in stock as I’m almost out. They said they don’t and recommended the Coral Max. I bought some and now after searching can’t seem to find anyone using it lol. Fingers crossed, hoping it’s good stuff!

Yall have some frags of the Laffy taffy Goniopora?!
@queencitycorals8 ай бұрын
I have one left but I also have frags of the QCC Sunfire Bernardopora which I think are nicer!

How often do you feed? Or would you recommend feeding a LPS dominant tank?
@queencitycorals9 ай бұрын
We feed once or twice a week, I would definitely recommend feeding an LPS dominant Tank, they will love it!

How fast the zoas and torches grow with this method?
@queencitycorals9 ай бұрын
It honestly varies a ton based on the type of zoa/torch but I would say most of my zoa colonies grow 4-5 heads a month but they are all 40-60 polyps. Torches will usually split every 2-3 months, but there are a bunch of other factors that affect growth rates.

Good video I have came to conclusion that I'm not sure feeding coral directly except for maybe some LPS corals is really necessary. In fact, I fed quarrels for years and really didn't notice any benefits started at carbon dosing a while, back to lower phosphate and nitrates that that was a magic way to feed the quarrel night and day difference, so not saying you're wrong just saying I have never noticed much benefits with the exception of feeding some LPS squirrels like a can good video

Coral 🪸 not squirrels 🐿️

I agree that feeding corals is definitely not necessary but I have definitely noticed that with consistent feeding I get better growth out of Soft Corals and SPS. It could be due to the increased nutrients in the system after feeding that the corals consume but I’ve noticed better growth and color from feeding compared to not feeding.

Most importantly, don't keep cleaner shrimps if you wanna do this or they will end up stealing everything... These corals take a long time to eat. The shrimp takes 0.5 seconds...
