Great meeting you yesterday Kenny! The wisdom shared is something I will always be happy to accept. I appreciate your time and willingness to listen to my ignorance and help guide me. ~ Andy

What's up big dog. I'm the one who called about the sunburst anemone today. I got the wrong pet shop. I know I been inside your store a few times. I am in San Jose. I usually got to king and Neptunes. As of matter of fact I use to work at king aquarium between 2009-2013-15is maybe. Anyways definitely keep building your brand. It looks like we have similar number of subs. Keep kicking ass. See you at the top big dog. Much love.

Isnt reef energy supposed to be enough? I have SLOW growth in my tank so looking to change that! Do you run the wave makers or shut them off? I love the idea of setting a timer! i have forgotten so many time to plug back my pump and I wake up and get so mad at myself when I see its still off!!
@hightideaquaticsoak5 ай бұрын
Wavemakers go into feed mode or a very low setting so you get the food moving around. And no ab+ isn’t enough for them. Happy feeding!

Your setup looks great. A couple questions; I currently use the coral AB+ aminos but am looking at getting a more wholistic coral feeding solution together. Right now it’s sort of just the extra small bits they can pick out from feeding the fish. I want to get something for the corals but I don’t have a big tank and don’t want to load up on too many products right away. Which of these foods would you recommend starting out with if you only fed 1 or 2? I already plan on picking up some more phyto ai I can micro-dose more routinely instead of sporadically macro-dosing. Also how often are you feeding this mix, basically every day after lights off?
@hightideaquaticsoak Жыл бұрын
I do this twice a week either after lights off or early in the morning before lights go on, just stick with one or the other time periods. You can dose phyto everyday. Also if you have a small tank, LRS reef frenzy or rods food will feed your corals And your fish! Can supplemental feed as well one of the powder foods like benepets or reef nutrition oyster feast. Or you can rotate the two

You dose phyto?
@hightideaquaticsoak Жыл бұрын
Yes! I add phyto when feeding and usually add it to all the tanks a couple more times a week

You mix food in RO water then feed? Is there a difference in using RO water vs Tank water to mix? I use tank water.
@hightideaquaticsoak Жыл бұрын
Tank water is fine! For one tank. I usually use a mix of saltwater and Ro water. I feed so many different systems I don’t want to risk using tank water, for cross contamination control

The reason coral aquariums are unstable is there is no deep sand bed. Father Fish channel is the only advice I listen to

Glad you have an outlet for your advice. What I can say is, I wouldn’t be where I am at today without the advice from lots of sources, peers, people I look up to in the hobby, books, podcast, videos, etc. thank you.
