Terrific. One of the best palmas videos ever made. Please, additional palos!

It has been a desire of mine to learn to play flamenco guitar and your videos really break it down in a way that builds the ability from the foundation up! It's what I''ve been looking for these past two decades, and its free! Finally someone explaining it beyond route memorization of chordal progressions, licks, and scales. Thank you so much for posting! Your videos have reignited my passion for playing guitar.

Our pleasure - and it's always lovely to hear that it really helps someone get excited about playing! Cheers, Kai

This was excellent! This is the most non-egotistical and non-threatening instruction I have ever witnessed.

So if you work with midi would you do it 12/4 or maybe four bars of 3/4 or 6/8 or somekinda combination. It kinda feels the up to three it is 6/8 and after that till 12 it can be either 3/4 or 6/8? (Yes, I know the quantization needs to be broken to make it sound alive.)

A measure of 6/8 followed by a measure of 3/4 will give you one compás that starts on 12 with the accents on 12, 3, 6, 8, 10, so just alternate those for MIDI. But I really don't like reading (or writing) that way.

@ Thank you. Yes, it is very counter intuitive to mix time signatures all the time. Im not really a flamenco expert but I have liked it since my teenage (Im over 60 now). I have albums from Paco de Lucia, Tomatito and I know something about flamenco. Ive seen performaces and I saw Paco perform. I can clap along intuitively but counting consciously is a bit hairy. Im not a very good guitar nor keyboard player but I can get a lot of satisfaction working with MIDI and DAW. Making my own music is more important to me than performing - and Im planning to have a go in flamenco or at least try to get the explosive feel. I like to use latin influences but I find flamenco even a step further. I dont know how it is going to work out but I will give it ago. The first challenge seems to be getting the beat credible. Your vids are really good. Thank you.
