What do you mean that the clones of the roses were stuck in November?
@pamelamercado6902Сағат бұрын
Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if I was fertilizing correct or not I was fertilizing them like I do some of my seedlings My nitrogen was a little high. I hope you and the family had a great Thanksgiving I'm taking it that you celebrate it on the same day as we do

Thanks Pamela - ours comes a little earlier, but I'll take a Happy Thanksgiving any time - and offer it too!

Another problem with foliar feeding is it is easy to burn the young tender leaves on your cuttings if the fertilizer is not diluted enough.

Good point! Killing with kindness is a common theme when it comes to fertilizer

How many years can you take clones off of a rose mother before you need to update the genetics or is that not an issue?
@rashmidhinuchippy162539 минут бұрын
We have a rose, it's first cutting obtained by mom while she was in college, in 1978, it's cuttings travelled from each place she lived, after marriage, now blooming in flushes in my brother's garden in 2024. I intend to bring a cutting to my new garden in 2025 January.

@ that’s good to know. I clone Jade plants like that. I have them growing at all different stages and eventually sell them or pass them on as a gift. Thanks for sharing your story. What color is the rose that you are referring to?

I live in a walk in freezer for roughly 1/2 a hockey season. YAY, right?

Sure makes you appreciate the warm season, if there's any silver lining at all!

There are so many nutrients that are always ignored yet make up the majority of plant and actual living soil structure. There are many organisms that are ignored as well. The marketing term fertilizer especially the NPK theory is so overblown that the consumer is so mislead and in fact NPK are not even the top 3 nutrients that plants and soil biology require. This is comparable to the Canadian healthcare system which is not focused on genuine health. Care to look at my world of nutrients Jason?
