​@@Brukner841 man just boxing and footwork in not effective against mma fighters or muay thai practioners. Boxing is the most basic art of offence and defense using fists. Boxing is mostly effective in closed range and mid range combats. A kick boxing+ grappler can easily destroy a boxer, they can maintain range using kicks and even knock them out at long range, or a double leg and the game ends right there. Boxing is extremely effective in street fights against untrained opponents but, an mma fighter or a muay thai, silat practioner can destroy an boxer. A wider skillset always gives you an unfair advantage over just boxing, footwork and head movements.

@@niki8303 yes I understand your point but 6 months of boxing and you wipe the floor with practitioners of any other style that have been doing it for a year or two. And you call boxing basic when it is supreme striking, the majority of all mma strikes, the most accurate and damaging strikes, the quickest, etc. It's not wise to kick in a street fight even if you are extremely good. I spar with muay thai guys often and yes their strikes are hard, debilitating actually, but as with kickboxing, they are easy to read, easy to dodge, they throw too many power strikes and I pick them apart at my leisure. I do like the clinch, kneeing them having head control is great, other styles just don't develop a great tempo as quick as boxing does. The accuracy you achieve is unrivaled, imagine fighting a boxer and he breaks your nose real quick, or eye gouges you, try throwing a kick when a straight 1-2 is like 100 milliseconds. Wrestling, throwing, bjj work well but take a lot of time to get good at and are hard to apply in a street fight. We're designed to punch and throw things in combat.

Nothing worse than accurate strikes to the face, a boxer would drop a lot of people using other styles, just by pressing the button. You just don't like boxing, I don't get why you follow a boxer then.
