That's such a good point when you said that we've stopped having hobbies and instead just have side-hustles. Social media has definitely made me feel pressured to be "making money from everything", and I appreciate the reminder that it's okay not to. One of my goals this year is to work on my ego so that I can detach myself from that societal pressure and just do what feels right. And as you said, just start. I'm choosing not to get a traditional 9-5 job, which is really scary because I don't know if I'll even enjoy the project I'm starting at home, but I want to give myself time to see if it works for me before giving up and moving on. Thank you so much for the video! I hope this year is a wonderful one for you! :) ❤

Yayy, happy to hear that you're deciding to heal your ego and you're starting a project. I understand it's scary but you never know until you try ;) Give it 90 days, then evaluate:). Thank you so much! I hope this year is wonderful for you too❤️

Great video, I have experienced this myself, the distractions and the outside noise in today's society are crazy! You lose yourself and forget who you are. I escaped the rat race to a quiet place, finally, I could think. As you mentioned I did have a few interests in different careers, but soon I realised, I really didn't or lost interest very quickly. I am still getting to know myself. One thing I learned from my own experience is early in life we are all forced into careers we have no interest in because of family pressures and societal expectations. This one mind shift I learnt later in life changed my life, "You are not your job, you are you, you may love your job, you may hate your job, but you are not your job.

Wow, thanks for sharing! It's so crazy how the outside noise keeps us "blind" to our true selves and how silencing the outside world then on the other hand helps us to reconnect with ourselves a bit more whether it's escaping to a quiet place or avoiding social media or whatever else. I'm happy for you that you've taken the leap to do your own thing and live your own way. I think it's so much more peaceful that way! Btw, that 'quote' helped me too when I 1st heard it and sometimes I catch myself repeating it to myself haha. But at the same time, it scares me a bit; how we've just become some productive beings who associate their own worth with their jobs...Anyway, thanks for watching and for your comment! :)
