So how the tax year was is retrospectively. So the current tax year that’s due on 31st January is 2023/24 ie April 2023 - April 2024. While that of 2024/25 will be due January 2026

As an employee do i need to file in any tax. Also what is the implication of receiving money in your account from a monthly contribution with friends that is more than £1,000. Will it be regarded as income when it is not. Lastly, is it £1000 income per annum or per month that needs filling of return

Hi 👋🏾 the monthly contribution is savings. So I don’t think you need to pay tax on that except you earn interest on that savings which exceeds your personal savings allowance threshold. The £1,000 is for the full year and not monthly. I hope this helps

Hey, Chidera. I'm just wondering, for one of my tax returns, I actually changed employers 4 different wthn the same year before I became self employed. Would I need to get P60s from all of them or would p45s be enough

Hi 👋🏾 you might have to speak directly with the accountant you’ll be assigned on tax scouts but I think the latest P60 from your most recent employment should suffice
