How to Fill and Repair Cracks in your Concrete

I am in the process of staining my front porch concrete and this seems like it will work on that as well.

Wow. Nice. I have these in my floor... about 20x25. No contraction joints were cut when they put it in. P*ssed me off. And I think some of the cracks might be all the way through because one edge is higher than the other. Two questions: what should I use to grind them down to the same level? Also, should I rout out the cracks at all? Thanks in advance!
