These sort of videos really help, I am usually fine doing things but if they're unknown I get really bad anxiety even if it's the simplest thing to do. Just knowing the process is really helpful, thanks! I actually passed in 2020 but with the pandemic I have barely had anywhere to drive and I share a car so I still have never filled up on fuel for my own car lol. My instructor did kindly show me how to do it on my very first lesson but that was a long time ago now.

When I bought my first car, I was fortunate enough to still have a couple of fully attended fuel stations near to home, where you told them how much you wanted, either by cost or number of gallons (litres simply wasn't a thing back then). It made life so easy. However, I did ask my instructor for a lesson on filling-up which was very helpful at the time.

I live in Western Australia. Something to watch for and catches a lot of people is the hose color here at one , yes, only one brand. Unleaded is BLACK, and Diesel is GREEN. The complete opposite from every other brand where ulp is green. I just did it. Luckily, it was a can for the mower. Only $ 4.00 was able to go home for another container. I agree with the recommendation of filling. Another thing that should be part of a lesson is tyre change. The number of people that try In a dangerous location, put the jack in the wrong place or ... list goes on is mind-numbing. Getting a car off the road slowly with a flat tyre makes it safer for everyone.

I have a story to tell. Recently, I fuelled up and then went to the cashier to pay. When I told him which pump I had used and with cash in my hand, the cashier informed me that there was nothing to pay on my pump. After the usual daft question is that your car? I confirmed it was. The cashier repeated that there was no bill to pay. For a third time, I said " I've fuelled up on that pump" His response was the same. I offered him my cash and he refused as it appeared somebody else had paid on that pump and he was unable to accept my payment. Is there a chance that I could now be stopped by the police for a failure to pay?
@JamesTravis2 жыл бұрын
It’s not your fault that someone paid the wrong pump number. You offered to pay so I would not worry about it. Just put aside that amount of money just incase next time you go in they try asking for it. But I would expect them you let you off as it’s been paid.

@@JamesTravis not this kind of help. All anyone needs whilst learning to drive is for a simple explanation about petrol vs diesel, how to tell the difference between them. yea i'm probably being picky or you may think what a d*ck. The problem I have is if you become a pilot you learn the lot, become a driver and all you have to do is know how to drive the vehicle. IMHO it should be mandatory for ALL learner drivers to do a car control course and object avoidance tests. I mean how does one learn to control an out of control vehicle? when the time comes and its too late usually.. It NEEDS to be done as part of the test. Way way more important things to learn that how to fill up at the fuel station. why doesnt the fuel station provide instructions as it is their fuel you borrow till payed for, you are generally on their land messing with highly flammable liquids.
