If you're a real estate photographer, you're most likely not going to be shooting a property at sunrise, daytime, and sunset. But for an amazing home like this and a big budget...GET ERRR DONE! Footage looks awesome!

Amen, also a lot of agents don't have the budget (or so they claim) to afford the time to have you come back, so I shoot broad daylight at 1pm usually.
@johnnyfive-bc

if you show up 30 minutes before Sunset and stay for 1 hour or 1.5 hours you can basically get everything.
@trimotionmedia5487
@trimotionmedia5487 Жыл бұрын
@@johnnyfive-bc That fully depends on the property and what the clients want. Most of the time, a REP is going to be capturing photography as well. Maybe a 3D tour or floorplan too. And some properties call for (and agents also desire) some blue skies and more sun on certain parts of the house. So I'd also recommend either starting 1.5-2 hours prior to sunset and maybe do a split shoot where you do a 10am shoot, then come back 30 minutes prior to sunset :) Charge accordingly

Wish there was an option to click the like button more than once, simply because of all the technical info in this video. To me personally, this type of video from a real assignment for a paying client, COMBINED with all the camera settings and technical info, is way better than a normal review where just specs and numbers are compared. Because it's when you're out there doing real stuff that you encounter things and situations you cannot prepare for. More stuff like this! 👍

I was a die hard Sony fan, but recently switch to Canon and bought the R5C. Couldn't be more happier with this hybrid camera! As a photographer AND videographer, I didn't want to bring two cameras when shooting. I love doing both on set and this is the answer in my opinion. And with the new firmware update, it is quite fast now to switch between modes (photo/video). Better AF, new digital teleconversion, better battery life, etc.

It's good to see these types of RE videos still exist. Simple push-ins that really let you view the property. The new age seems to be really focusing on speed ramps and 1-second glimpses of items that usually aren't included in the property, along with more speed ramps and spins.

Finally a video with someone using an R5C Rig for Real Estate! I have a similar R5C/RS3Pro rig, with an external monitor and external battery. I use a dummy battery so I can hit trigger record button on the RS3 pro. I agree that moving to 8k 60fps will open more options than XFAVC. But @ 8k raw @ 60fps, the R5C will not work with the dummy battery. So the only way to record is to connect directly to the external battery? Then I have to hit the record button directly on the camera, causing a bit of extra camera shake time.

Same i have the R5 C and RS3 Pro combo, i shoot at 4K for real estate. Shot many hotels, resorts, restaurants etc. You can use Kondor blue dummy battery to C type, where you can buy FXlion nano one and connect to it where raw 8k 60fps will work.

Epic video man! As someone that runs a luxury real estate photo/video business in Houston, this was awesome to watch. I've always been super interested in the R5C, I went with the R6 mark ii and use the RS3 Mini with the 15-35. Minimal lighter setup since I do a lot of volume on a weekly basis. Quality difference is insane, and the edit was great! Personally,I would've loved to see detail shots to break up the wide shots. I zoom in to 35mm and use crop mode to replicate a 50mm look to avoid switching lenses. Epic job dude!

Great Video! I love this hands-on practical guide. Seriously a great resource! A few questions as an R5C shooter. I am curious why you chose to go with 8K instead of the 4K XFAVC. I know you mentioned early in the video that the raw video gives you more flexibility for coloring in post and that the 8K provides more space to punch-in, but several online testers (and in my own experience) have shown the image out of the down-sampled 4K produces a better dynamic range. Do you prefer the image quality of the 8K raw light to the 4K? Is it worth the extra hard drive space? Also, why did you opt to shoot at ISO400 vs. the native 800 for the interiors? Do you think shooting at 400 produces better results than 800 with an ND? In theory, won't the image have less dynamic range and more noise at ISO400? Another thing I noticed was the cross-polarization on the exteriors. I saw it because I was looking for it and because I have dealt with this issue when shooting stills on a Liciea Q2 with a polarizer. There was noticeable cross polarization on that 28mm lens, so at 15mm, there will probably be some issues. Do you feel that the benefits of the polarizer outweigh the color shift? I imagine in different lighting conditions, this would be much more noticeable. Are you shooting C-Log 3 Cinema Gamut? Any input luts? Do you use any denoising software in post? Do you sharpen the image at all? And finally, how much would you charge for shooting this house?

@BoneDog1985
@BoneDog1985 Жыл бұрын
What is the main reasoning behind f2.8? Most videos are shot in f7.1-11 to keep as much in focus as possible. Also, at f2.8 and auto focus the camera might mess about with focus points. Is it to give a slight blurred look to out the windows and the foreground? I personally like photographing and video at f2.8.
