This is one of the best filmmaker tutorials I have seen. Very comprehensive while being concise. Some of the gear is outdated but most of the concepts are not. Highly recommend it.

Thanks Jonas. Yes, agreed some of the kit is dated (camcorders) but, as you say, the techniques and everything else are just as relevant today as ever.

@@tecraven Would you consider revisiting this now as camera tech and whatnot a become much better and advanced over the years since?
@tecraven Жыл бұрын
@@mcladrifter There would not be any point in my making another video on this, but what I would say, for wildlife video work today there is only one way to go: full-frame mirrorless camera with a 200 to 600 zoom lens. I have a Sony A7 III, which is superb, but Sony or Canon or Nikon in the full-frame mirrorless range, all are superb. With long zoom lens there is a guy on KZbin that talks a lot about this: @cameraconspiracies - he's a funny guy, comes across in a strange way if you're not used to his humour, but he knows his stuff and one or two of his videos he talks about zoom lenses for wildlife.

Hi, Amazing work ! Thanks for sharing ! One very interesting question if i may aske... How did you make this clickeble chapers here on youtube ??? That's COOL !!! I love to be able to do that to ! xxx Debby
@tecraven3 жыл бұрын
The clickable 'time stamps' are easy, you just type them into the description and KZbin automatically does the rest. Just type the numbers for the hours, minutes and seconds as I have, with an M-dash (horizontal line) between the numbers and the titles. Just type it as I have and it automatically happens.

Hi AMP. I filmed this with Mike many years ago now, back in 2007 so I can't remember what endoscope that was, but it was a few years old back then so I'm sure there are better endoscopes around these days.

In my class we always watch these science things about animals and Mike appears In them, I’m in y6 now but back in y5 I always used to scream “MIKE!!” when Mike appeared on screen and it’s caused a bit of an epidemic because we all do it now and our new teacher hates it, it sounds a bit like the seagulls from finding dory but instead of “mine” it’s “MIKE!!!!”

@tecraven2 жыл бұрын
@@joevee5619 I'm not sure. I'm well out of date with those JVC cameras and have no idea what they have done, if anything, with them these days. Check the JVC Pro website, details should be there. I personally use full-frame mirrorless these days. I have a Sony A7 III, but the A7 S III is way better. Canon colour science is superb, but Canon have a reputation for overheating. I like the Sony A7 S III and I think it's one of the best mirrorless video cameras available at any price at the moment.
