Amen. But first of all, both men and women actually need to GO to Confession. And the only guys I see going are few and the women under the age of 65 are ZERO. Just speaking pragmatically here. The women have so bought the lie so fundamentally, like their mother, they are virtually nonexistent. Just speaking from anecdotal and experiential evidence. This might be different in the United States though… in Canada out here the ‘weather’s’ pretty rough…

As a woman, I've never been asked out by a devout Catholic man in church because parishes all around me have 90% mothers, 5% senior citizen men, 3% children, 1.5% young adult women like me and then 0.5% guys who are around my age BUT sacristans. 😂 I went to confession last month. It was a very long line. It took me two hours to get to the priest. I've never seen one guy around my age. It truly is so sad if you think about it.

Same, I let go of an interfaith relationship as it does not fulfill my desire of centering our relationship in God and I just couldnt stand the lack of love for our Blessed Mother. It was hard. It's good to hear this. I am 32 and never ever was comfortable with the hookup culture. I always felt like a loser or freak around mt firends or my generation. My two cents… Go to daily mass. Same concept as the confessional. Before and after the service just start speaking with people. Grow in holiness, cooperate with God’s grace to become the spouse you were made to be, so that when you finally meet your future spouse, you are ready to bless them from day 1.

I know a lot of daily mass times are not conducive to a work schedule, but there are typically evening masses here and there. If someone is giving up their evening to attend mass, that tells you a lot about their character.

I really wish parishes offered daily mass in the evenings for people who work 1st shift. Its great that many white collar workers can get to go since they usually start at like 10 am, but what about us blue collar catholics? We need Christ too!

My husband is a convert. God directed our relationship in many ways. I wanted to marry a Catholic, and though he wasn't one when we met, he became one. He actually proposed the night of his Confirmation. Women, don't have sex before marriage. This is so crucial to maintaining a clear head and holding on to your relationship with God. It also prevents you from being damaged in a particular way. Hold to your holy values and pursue God and all that is holy. God will give you a spouse in doing the ordinary things of your life too. I met my husband at the mall where he was working. I was already attending a TLM and was interested in none of the single men at my church. It's just how God works sometimes. Don't put pressure on it. In God's good time, but focus on a deeper relationship with Him first. You will need to rely on that when you are married too.

Didn't find luck in confession line or my thriving local parish, though I was actively involved in it's committees and organizations. Most people I interacted with were retired, which probably understandable as they begin to serve at church once they have more free time. I finally met my husband on Catholic dating site called Catholic Match and we both agreed that this site really helped us to meet future spouse who takes their Catholic faith seriously. Now we've been married for 3 years and go to confession together 😊💕

That's a good way to find a potential partner. Another way is to study. Pick a course that you are interested in. You may find someone attractive doing the same course. The benefits are: 1/ She/he is interested in something that you are interested in. 2/ They are interested in learning; in improving themselves 3/ They are intelligent or they wouldn't be interested in studying. 4/ You can see who they are; not just someone hiding behind a screen. 5/ They are not just there to hook up with someone. 6/ At the end of the day, if you don't find someone, you have increased your knowledge base. Incidentally, that's how I met my spouse. We've been very happily married for 33 years.

Typical Catholic idea... the Bible specifically states DON'T do that. Then you wonder why the spouse don't go to church, the kids don't follow you to mass, the kids aren't catechised properly and you whine when they give up the faith. You've been warned. Do not be unequally yoked. Think about it. Jesus said anyone looking over their shoulder while ploughing the field isn't worthy of him. What kind of lanes will you plough if one of you is stronger than the other...wobbly ones, so what are you going to be doing all the time, looking over your shoulder. Say you have more of an engineering mindset. Vector addition. Add your faith: strength and direction to your spouse's... will it get you to a shared destination? So you need a shared destination and you need the strength to get there. You need both else you will fall short and be disappointed.

The Philippines have small christian communities called Singles For Christ, a sub group of Couples For Christ. While the mission is not for marriage, a lot of the members get married to one another and becomes a member of Couples For Christ. 😅😅😅

Never really considered that, that's not actually a bad idea if you're interested in a Catholic spouse. I actually changed parishes recently, and one of the reasons was that they only offered confession one saturday a month for 30 minutes. It was a good size, thriving parish, and I'm just thinking that either 90% of these people should not be receiving the eucharistic, or they're all saints, because there's no way all these people can get through confession in thirty minutes on one saturday a month.
