I also stay away from eBay generally(other than Ben) since I've had bad luck in the past. There are a lot of jerseys deals to be had on eBay though, I'm just not experienced enough there to give advice. My only tips are know the difference in the construction of the Fanatics branded one versus the Adidas branded one. IMO, the Adidas is worth the price difference. Then wait for sales and shipping discounts. Also, look for player trades or retirements as soon as they are announced, just about every site starts discounting their merchandise immediately. My three places to look for Hurricanes jerseys based on where I live are Fanatics, The Eye(aka team store on site at PNC Arena), and the Hurricanes online store. I wait for sales. I'm skeptical of Ebay. I've bought all my Hurricanes jerseys but one from Fanatics, the one I didn't I paid retail for at the team store(man that killed me but the Adidas stocking situation for that new alt black Canes jersey during the release year was weird and it would dip in and out of stock on Fanatics and it would go on and off sale--I never pay retail, but when I was at a game and they had my size I did it because of how screwy Fanatics was with stock on them). I am with you on the free shipping with Fanatics though, it sucks they dropped that over the last two years. And it also sucks they have bought access to all the pro sports leagues shops and quite a few collegiate shops too.

Also, wanted to add that I am like 80 minutes away from the arena the Canes play at and none of my in-town stores carry very much Hurricanes merchandise for some reason. My town doesn't have a Lids/Lids Lockeroom store. I do have a Dicks but their in-store team shop is trash. The Academy Sports here doesn't sell them. Hibbets Sports here used to carry them but hasn't in line a decade. The other store in town only carries the older versions and hasn't had any of the Adidas ones since they transitioned to Adidas.

Kijiji (if you’re canadian) is also and amazing place to find cheap jerseys, especially if you don’t mind a used one. You just need to know how to tell the difference between real and fake jerseys and make sure you’re careful. I purchased a brand new Auston Matthews away jersey and a brand new blank leafs stadium series jerseys for 100$ each

Hi Neil! Thank you for this great channel! I have found a special NHL Anaheim Ducks jersey from 2015, that is red and called the 2015 LA Angels Night. The jersey is made in Canada and game issued. When you send things to CoolHockey to get customized and hand-stitched, do they put the 3 layer twill on them or do they use the vinyl for the players name and numbering?

Not all teams do 3 layer twill. Cool Hockey's parent company actually creates the nameplates and numbers for half the NHL teams, so for a lot of the hand-stitched jerseys you get from Cool Hockey, it's literally the same number/name kit that goes on actually NHL jerseys. However, I don't know which specific teams they are.

Great Video. Thanks to you (from a different video) I picked up the WPG White Heritage Classic Jersey for 40% off @ Adidas.ca - it is a Jersey I have wanted for a while. I had a chance for the RBK version (which I actually prefer a bit more that the Adidas) but I did not have the funds at the time. I think I'll get Selanne on it - but do I go #13 or #8??? My preference is #8 since I'm a Ducks fan and it is what he wore for the majority of his career there. I know he started with 13 in the Peg - but also wore 8 as well. In the end I'm sure there is no wrong answer here just personal opinion. I also agree 100% with you on Lids. I had discovered them a few years back and shopped DAILY due to all the great deals. Fanatics RUINED them. I'll still pop into a retail location on occasion (pre-pandemic) but I never look at them online anymore. Such a waste of what was an excellent resource. Hmmm not sure on which player you should go for! I personally don't put past players on current jerseys because it feels like a jersey foul to me since those players never wore Adidas. I really do hate how expensive US sports jerseys are as an European. Even 70€ is some times too much and NHL is out here selling jerseys for 150+ Euros in the Europe store, not even considering the shipping and customization as it would be the only ever jersey i would be able to get and customization would be a must touch.
