I wanted to find one and frame it but I would want a microscope that can zoom in so I can determine whether or not I'm looking at a micrometeorite for sure. I have already been looking at some very expensive microscopes with displays but I would want the best for money I don't really need a display. What do I buy?

Hi Recon, that's a nice idea. It sounds like you might need something flashy like a Scanning Electron Microscope. A local museum or university might be able to lend theirs for a few hours? Happy meteorite hunting.

Hi Gavin, a regular consumer microscope will will help you look for spherical shapes, and that can help you narrow things down. But to do the analysis like the scientists at Monash University and confirm your find, you need access to a Scanning Electron Microscope.
