My mother never gave me advice and she was an awful role model but she did give me this one gem ( after i was married to an idiot) She said - sit back and watch him, watch how he treats ppl, treats his friends, his mother, those close to him" And that kind of advice can be applied to any situation -romantic or work.

This is great advice and I sure have been putting this into practice for about a year. Not even dating right now but any man who offers help I'm like yes please! Haha no more refusing, I let them do their thing and graciously accept it and tell them how much I appreciate it. I also have asked for help more often from the men around me. I've learned men who are providers like to feel needed. So it tells a lot how a man responds when you ask for his help.

I need some more practice with this. I’m a single mom, and the only man I really have to deal with is my kids’ father, who did little to help me whether we were together or not. So I did everything myself. Except now, I’m embracing my feminine energy. He’s attracted to that, but I don’t want him back. He had a lot of control over me before, but I got my freedom back and set boundaries. He’s trying to do some things for me now. Sometimes I say, Thank you, and other times I say, I got it.

Unfortunately, I was assaulted once and almost twice, letting a man help me in my twenties. I am now more aware of my intuition and in touch with my core. Still, it is not my first instinct to let a man help me. At least not the first time. Therefore, I see how he responds to the word no. Don't feel sorry or sad about me and my experience, it is more common than you think. We are not boss babes for no reason. Get therapy for your trauma. It can transform your choices and your life.

"Deligating" can be seen as being a boss. A productive boss. If we just change the wording to "helping" or the ugly word a lot dont seem to like "partner". These words can take the ease/burden off our shoulders and allow us to relax. Omit the word "feminine" instead use helper/partner. You don't have to be "feminine" to have someone help you. There's too much weight and confusion on the word "feminine" Not all men will become a provider simply because he's a man or in his so called masculine- it's in his personality, how he was brought up.

I don't want to find a provider man. I want to find a man that naturally protects. It's easy to provide a "provider." There's a lot of men who are willing to provide for you, but they also plan to exploit you. I run into plenty of guys that call themselves wanting to provide for me, but it's at a cost of turning me into a wife slave. I just want to be with a guy that cares about my well being in more than just a financial way.

That probably comes from somebody close to you (likely, your parents or other caregivers) holding things over your head, probably since you were small. Things that should automatically be given in a relationship, like attention, love, time, advice, help when you needed it, etc.. you were probably guilt-tripped or just felt guilty for needing things, and then it was probably used against you at emotionally charged times. That's the feeling I get when I read your comment. Things weren't given to you with kindness and selflessness, maybe you come from a cutthroat family, or had a cutthroat family member?

This is why I stress to date with purpose EARLY. You can’t play around until you are almost 40 because then they won’t want you or expect you to go half because it’s a privilege that someone wants you. The good men raised with fathers get married EARLY. Think about it. How many two parent household men do you know are still bachelors at 40?

You have to hold your “stump” energy. Do not do anything. Lay down on the floor if you have to. I know exactly what you mean. I noticed it happens to me a lot at work, especially from (only from) this one, goofy looser in his feminine. It’s weird because it’s like he low key tries to force me into my masculine. In the real world, I would NEVER associate myself with such a creature, but it’s a little different at work because of proximity.

I used to be the type who always felt the need to offer to pay for myself. But it's become attractive to me, the men who are willing to invest themselves in me, to me it shows their interest and I've learned to no longer entertain the clowns who want my time or intimacy while investing literally nothing into me. I'd stay away from those men. But I had to learn these feminine traits to weed them out.
