This is a hard truth a lot of black women and women in general need to hear. I'd also like to add that some will talk about how they want a celibate woman... until they actually get one. Then they get mad because you won't sleep with them when that's the whole point of celibacy. Do not let a man guilt trip you into going against your values.

Men are going to hate it, because you’re telling them no, but personally that’s what I wanted to see to begin with. If I told a guy I was celibate and he makes jokes or says slick stuff, that’s an automatic DQ. As far as difficulty?TBH, it’s seemed easier to me. But that’s probably because I’m more demisexual than anything else. I have a strong libido in general, but I’m not tempted in the least until I’m emotionally invested. Most of these men disqualify themselves over the phone before they even get a date, and the ones that get a date usually don’t last but one anyway.

Anwar is speaking facts regarding marraige. I was abstinent for several years before getting married to my now ex-husband. I got pregnant at the 6 month mark with my first child then a year later got pregnant agaih. By the time, my second child was here, his mask fell off and the marriage was in trouble. We were at 4 1/2 years when we separated. Our kids were 3 and 18 months at the time.
@marleyhill3423 күн бұрын
Yup my marriage was the same at falling apart at the 2 year mark and we were together for 7.5 years but I still didn't trust him to impregnate me. Something in my gut told me that neither of us were ready to be parents or co-parents or single parents. Whether it was God, Jesus or the holy Spirity. Whenever he was mean, unsupportive, selfish, neglectful or irresponsible...all I could think was how our potential children would suffer. I suffered in my childhood and I never ever wanted to bring a child into this world to suffer the way I did.

Anwar is such an Ally to women!!! You really have to set your boundaries and stick to them. If a man won’t accept you being celibate that means he doesn’t see your worth. Stop acting like you’re married to these men and doing marriage activities before marriage if your goal is to get married. What Anwar is saying is what we need to teach little girls. If the majority of women held these high standards for themselves, these men would step up and raise their vibrations because they don’t want to be single.

@ Hey, of course, love. Celibacy is a conscious, long-term, or lifelong vow to abstain from sexual activity, often for spiritual or personal reasons. Abstinence, on the other hand, is choosing not to engage in sexual activity for a certain period, which could be for health, situational, or other reasons. The key distinction is intent-celibacy is typically lifelong, while abstinence is more temporary or seasonal. Hope that helps ❤️

I recently realized that the fact that I was married when giving birth AND that my insurance was through federal government employment are probably the key reasons that I had good experiences. Meaning if I had gone to the hospital not married and with Medicaid when giving birth, I might not be here to tell the tales today. Because I'm finding out through my current circumstances and experiences that a LOT of doctors will base the standard of care that they offer on available insurance rates and a patient's demographics (or their personal perceptions of a patient's character and lifestyle), rather than ethics, medical science or the Hippocratic oath. Bottom line is we can be assured that people will care about us and even do their jobs regarding us ONLY to the extent that we demonstrably care for ourselves.

If you don’t date the whole way while being celibate, you will have just killed the relationship if you decide to stop being celibate without getting married first. Don’t kid yourself. Dating is to see if each other is ready to be married. Don’t bring intimacy into it.
@CL-do5eq22 күн бұрын
I know I can’t be the only one that has to take a break when listening to your concert because it’s so mind blowing and come back because my soul can sit with the truth. It took me about two years and six months to understand that it is OK for me to step outside of my comfort zone, which is black men and be open to possibly having a future with a non-black man and have mixed children I literally had to grieve that I don’t know if any other person is going through it, but I had to grieve the idea that I thought what my family would be and look like Now God has delivered me and God shows me that the most important thing is that I have a good husband of God in a healthy family damn what color he is but his character in his purpose but this is just more confirmation. That’s like yeah I’m on the right path and this is why things haven’t been working out because I’m doing the healing work. I am celibate. I am working on myself. I am in church. I’m getting more outside my comfort zone with socializing morelike going out more like and healthy environments and I attract men, but they desire me even though I am a classy woman, but they never truly want to be with me because they know I have standards and boundaries and they cannot walk over me. It hurts, but I know that it’s for the best when they do remove themselves from me because for example, I will not be intimate with them.

I've been saying this for the last decade but no one listens to me. It's a bad idea to have casual sex and/or be promiscuous. You can end up with a violent maniac in your life, an unwanted pregnancy/child that you have to raise and financially support alone (and abortion shouldn't be used as birth control), h!v/@!ds or other sti's and just because some sti's are curable doesn't mean that you should get them.
