Hey, Mike. I'm a first generation Hmong-American. My uncle is a former SGU soldier and was living in Long Tieng between 1967-1975. My family enjoyed watching this together and the elders sat for hours afterwards reminiscing about the "old country." Thank you for the entertainment, experience, and history- hope your foot's healing well!

Hints for riding off road - I hope you see this! Primarily use your rear brake, stay off the front brakes on loose gravel/dirt No front brakes during turns Loosen up your hand grip, utilize your legs more. Standing up, elbows out, butt back, be loose and put your weight thru the foot pegs! Lean a bit further back on the bike while going downhill on loose gravel/dirt (NO FRONT BRAKE) Absolutely love your channel, KZbin needs more content like yours!!!

If you use front brake on dirt and gravel use it with one finger when you start pulling it with one finger then its enough force in your front brake to slow down the front wheel and not stopping it from turning that ends up with you falling down

The U.S. dropped 2,756,941 tons of ordnance on 113,716 Laotian sites in 230,516 sorties between 1965 and 1973 alone, making Laos the most heavily bombed country in history relative to the size of its population; The New York Times notes this was "nearly a ton for every person in Laos". By September 1969, the Plain of Jars was largely deserted. U.S. aircraft dropped more ordnance on Laos than on all countries during World War II, leaving Laos with about 78 million pieces of unexploded ordnance

You're not wrong but to give him credit for one thing, Bald nails the informational reads about the region better than everyone. But I strait up prefer Mike Okay, if only because he feels so relatable it's like I'm watching myself. It's not a contest but Luke Damont nails the respect as well. He strait up stops to help people lift up an object and carried it down the street and a lot of indicators he sees himself as equal to others regardless of race or income. All these guys have a ton of travel knowledge and some have good gauge of danger. But none really have street smarts, or a sort of extra alertness. Except for Kurt Caz, who has street smarts but does the opposite of what his brain tells him.

Mike watching your travel’s is always a pleasure- it’s great to see how you include both the good and bad. Your filming style is a breath of fresh air when compared to other channels. Keep on going brother and best of luck. P.S you should go to South Korea next 🇰🇷
