How to find Boar Beach, Risk of Rain Return's Secret Map

I think this area is a reference to Maple Story. There was an area populated by Pigs and Ribbon Pigs that was hidden and was a prime grinding spot and the layout matches the area from the game. I believe the White Shirt (Male) is another hint at the reference.

The flavor text of the shirt is how you sell things using the chatbox. The @@@ is the standard filler symbol used to make the chatbox taller so people could see your text better. The nostalgia is too strong with this one. Maplestory (or MMOs) back in the day was the magic that will never happen again in human history.

I think boar beach spawns on the classic stage so if you turn on classic stages only you might be able to get it every time. Don't quote me on that tho

Hi, I left a pretty lengthy comment on the last video but came over to give you a view on this vid. I'm a risk of rain og so I know about boar beach already and have made it here myself in returns >:) didn't know about the acrid skin though!! I'll be sure to pick that up next time I go. One thing tho, I'm almost certain that when you finish boar beach you go back to floor 3 rather than skip to floor 4. Could be wrong tho

I can confirm you go to stage 4 afterwards, did it myself when getting footage after all.

In the old ror1 you go back to stage 3 again... If you were lucky you could go back to Boar beach again and Repeat till your luck Ran out

I think the rules set before the run effect whether or not you loop back to stage 3. I was playing a run with only the classic stages so I could get the skin for Acrid quicker, and I ended up looping back to stage 3 during that run. However, I think I looped back *only* because I had just the classic stages enabled, and that meant if I went to Boar Beach, the classic rule of repeating stage 3 also applies. I would think if all 6 stage variants were on, you would leave Boar Beach and go to stage 4.

I get them from a mixture of on the wiki and manually from in game. I upscale them manually and adjust them to what I need.
