Thanks for this video! Even though this video is a bit older, I'm really hoping you see this because I'm at a loss with this problem and I could really use some advice. I'm running into the issue where I'll use a supplier and they might run out of stock (I'm selling more and more volume of specific items - YAY!) and I go through AliExpress to find alternate suppliers. Normally I look for higher than average seller feedback and if the item has feedback (normally it's 50/50 that the item has actual feedback because my business is niched down and I basically have 0 competition in this space), I'll review these as well. In addition, I normally reach out to the supplier to confirm that they have inventory and to check responsiveness but I'm seeing that I'll receive responses that say "Yes, we have stock" but then I place an order and 3-5 days later, they'll come back and say something like 'Sorry! We had issues with this product and we needed to send it back to the manufacturer so please request a refund with "other reasons"'. I have literally written off 45 different suppliers already (I have an ongoing list). At this point, I'm extremely skeptical because I've seen this message so many times and now I know that they send this message to try and avoid bad feedback and AliExpress consequences for lack of updates to their listings. I've also found out that a lot of these guys are middlemen that say "Yes" to everything whether or not the statement is true. At first, I didn't have an issue with this because normally with so many suppliers, I can find one that's actually going to have stock but lately, it's taken 4-5 tries which adds on like 2 whole weeks to my processing (YIKES!) and sometimes my customers are just not willing to wait and therefore I lose long term business and revenue - I'm now missing out on the LTV of my customers :(. Is there any way to really confirm/check that: 1) A supplier truly does have stock? 2) A supplier is not just a middleman? 3) A supplier doesn't have these types of "other reason" refunds consistently? I've already had to go through AliExpress support so many times that they know my name through the messenger and I've now had many different suppliers reprimanded by AliExpress admin for literally lying to my face and then lying again to try and avoid AliExpress consequences when I'm selling thousands of dollars in goods a month for them. I would try and order the product and wait but I have over 370 of them on my site and quite frankly, I don't have the capital to purchase one of everything. I spend no money on ads because my store ranks quite high on search engines so I don't want to pause my store either. Do you have any advice to help me avoid this horrible customer service problem?

It's sad that you have spent so much time to write but no response from the Oberlo. I think you should hire an agent who can do all tasks for you including product testing, sourcing, shipment, etc.

Great question! If your product has amazing reviews, photo reviews, and a good rating and you are still buying a sample, then one sample should be enough. If the product has no orders, the store doesn't have high reviews or ratings then you will want to buy a couple products to sample. I would look at products that have orders and reviews already. Hi Jessica, I've been watch your training. I imported 2 different URLs to shopify from namecheap. Both times when I went to do facebook ads, facebook told me the URL(s) where spam and could not be used. I could not even message the URL to a friend. Hi there! AliExpress is a widely unregulated marketplace. It is possible that some suppliers spoof some of their reviews. It's very unfortunate, and AliExpress works to police their marketplace, but sometimes poor suppliers slip through the cracks. Be sure to select suppliers with a long track record and a high satisfaction rating when selling products from AliExpress. -Jasper 🙂

If you are or become a member of Aliexpress Dropshipping plan (it"s free) you then will be able to access, through your member portal, the stores that will dropship to your customers. Once you log in, go to My Aliexpress, then click the tab Dropshipping Center. to the left you will click Find Products to Sell. Those stores are already dropshipplng approved. Then do your due diligence in researching the quality of the store.

Sometimes ePacket shows up in green for some of the AliExpress products but it is not necessarily so for all countries. We still need to go into the Shipping & Payment tab in the AliExpress product page to make sure. Also, I have many products on my shop. Nobody told me before that some AliExpress suppliers don’t dropship. That is a game-changer, and not in a good way for me. Does that mean that I have to email every one of them? Yikes.

Alidropship is a woocommerce plug in that interfaces with AliExpress just like Oberlo. Shopify owns Oberlo. That being said, the integration between Shopify, Oberlo and AliExpress is perfectly seamless. It is the best option for a beginner. Unless you have experience/knowledge of making websites. Alidropship also costs $.

Thanks for the video. Can you show us how we can differentiate manufacturers and reseller. Also the biggest problem Is the picture of the product displayed by the supplier 90% of the time deceiving. I found the 1* rating to be more helpful than the 5* as the former give an exact picture of the supplier and the product.

I used to do wholesale business, but one dropshipper contacted me to do dropshipping, so I started a new business last year. Hi there! Many suppliers will claim that the product has been tested, or that it is safe for use. While this may be true, there's no guarantee that the standards used in the origin country align with the standards of the country you're selling to. For this reason, we suggest avoiding products where you see the potential to be personally liable for their use.
