Wanna add more things : - You can use shift f3 to search for bells at spawn, it'll tell you there is a village nearby, also is there is a furnace there is a weaponsmith (not on taiga villages). - In the nether, on the before last line, you can see two numbers : M and C. M stands for dispawnable aggressive mobs and C for dispawnable neutral creatures, but we know that the piglins in bastions are mobs that cant dispawn. So then you need to add up those two numbers, and substract the second E number, every slice of 30 entities is a bastion, so you can know if there is one or more bastions around you at spawn if you did not looked right after teleporting.

also, if you don't get a multiple of 30 after subtraction, it could mean that the bastion is half loaded, i.e. your render distance only renders half the bastion, so you can increase your render distance by a bit to confirm that it is a bastion

Bridge has only 20 entities and stables has a quite a lot so the difference can be more or less than 30 as long as there’s a decent gap between e and m+c then you have a bastion(s)

More uses: If you see bells on the pie chart in the overworld, there's a village If there's a furnace and brewing stand but no bell, there's an igloo with a basement If there's a chest in the end, there's an end city Also, when you see "blockentities", right below it is usually "tick" (sometimes it will say "regular" above it instead), and if you use this, you can see all loaded entities.

how to blind travel in 1 sentence: add your x and z coordinates to a number between 250 and 300. bam, ez blind travel (ignore the negative sign if the number is negative) for example: if im at -100, 170, thats really good blind travel coords because i only take the numbers and ignore the negative. so that wouyld be 100+170=270, and 270 is between 250 and 300.

In Minecraft 1.21 if you have Render Distance set to 2 chunks it renders 4 chunks in total which 2 chunks it renders on the monitor (where the first chunk is always the chunk where the player is located) + 2 pre-rendered chunks just to know exactly how far away the mob spawner is. Also the Render Distance affects only the horizontal chunks the vertical ones are rendered but not seen on the monitor more than 2 in infinite number of times.

the pie chart still loads 6 chunks when you set the render at 2 because of the 4 chunks cap the pie chart has for some reason, so you're likely to have a spawner within 6 chunks and the pie chart is just looking like not having refreshed.

Whenever i use fabric mode with sodium my entities count never work as expected, when i use vanilla it's fine, going to fabric even when i'm looking in the direction of the bastion i get a low count. I have my entity render distance 500% and i think every other option is good. It sucks speedrunning in vanilla tbh : (

you need to have entity culling disabled, it's in the third tab in sodium's options. Also if you downloaded sodium like 4 months ago you need to update it for this to work.

I'm having this thing on 1.16.1 when I F3+F until I get the spawner in my pie chart (for example at 12), but if I decrease the render distance only by 1 (to 11), it does not go away. For it to go away I have to decrease it all the way back to 2 and then up it incrementally (to 11) to test for the direction. Is this normal or is it some kind of bug?

Not really, if you saw Sizzler or fe's WR, neither structures were visible off spawn. It's also mainly for knowing when to reset, you can have your render distance to how close you want your bastion to be. In Sizzler's WR, the bastion was 18 chunks away, some runners might've reset there too
