A paper conservator could humidify and flatten your drawing. It would look so much better. A conservator could also do careful cleaning and repairs, if needed. Then it could be properly matted and framed. What a treasure!

I almost fell out of my chair when you pulled out an original George Barber drawing! I wrote my thesis on George Barber and adore all of his work. You are so fortunate. Thank you for sharing.

First came to Fairfield in 1984 temorarily as guest Faculty for MIU as a Drama teacher. I returned from Milwaukee when my son went to college in 2012. I was thrilled when you bought the house .I adore Victorian architecture and I'm so glad you have this chanel ! Last year it was thrilling to get a tour of the house.

I really enjoyed this episode. So much history. Who knew your great great grandfather lived in Iowa so long ago. I find it amazing that people have kept those pictures all this time. I doubt most people would have kept them. The cemetery was interesting also. The fact that they were buried so close to each other. You never imagined that your life would have changed so much by buying the house. And all the people you’ve met and the items that they have sent you. I hope that you receive more information in the future. I hope you had a great sweet corn season and look forward to all your upcoming videos. Take care, Jan

WOW! Hanibal Missouri! I've been there, tiny town. Home of Mark Twain. You must be a Midwesterner at heart. So, hopefully, it wasn't too much of a shock when you moved to IA.😊 My husband's niece was born and raised in CA, she loves coming to the Midwest (Chicago), she says it's like "Ahhhhh." I'm so envious of your journey, it's always been a dream of mine to buy an old Victorian.

Today Saturday October 5th, there is a yard sale on Harrison and 5th in Fairfield. With 3 Victorian chairs in beautiful condition. They are half price and the yard sale ends at 1:30. You should go look. They are only $40 each now.

Love your Victorian! We all end up in grave..that’s why it’s all about Jesus we have to receive him as the Lord and savior and ask for forgiveness and be thankful that he gives us the opportunity to live and beautiful Victorian until we meet him and then in the word of God there is a mansion waiting for us if we r in Christ

What goes around, comes around. Your family lineage was meant to come home to Iowa. This was a really interesting episode, I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the people that inhabited your house. Can't wait for the next installment. Have a fantastic week!

Appreciate the history lesson. Hate the AI narration! Actually, I hate ALL forms of AI videos and the associated voices. I delete or I select the “do not recommend” function on as many videos as I can. You don’t fall into that category. I think you should consider having your house plan drawing restored, mounted on linen (or whatever is best) and frame and enjoy. That is a great find!

@tjanderson575 agreed an thanks for watching. Sometimes it's just a little easier especially when narrating/reading emails or newspapers. But certainly try to not overuse
