Dang, this helps so much. I literally have been struggling from this for so long, and this helped so much. Another thing though: the newest amazing track from your favourite artist might be awesome, but think, they probably spent two months or something working on it. Even they can’t make a banger in half an hour.

Yeah, not having high expectations is very important. One of the things which I learned from Kill The Noise livestream is not to aim to specific result (which is usually high), instead, it's better to look at what you already have and try to yield something from this. He explained this in terms of synthesis, but I find it useful in all spheres of life, because people often get frustrated when they can't come out with something high level when they only begin doing something

This is so true. When you are producing, you have to realize you are making art. You have to enter this deep hole where you just have to be calm as possible and just continuously keep it up, working on succeeding in creating your own sounds. If you are instantly wanting to produce just for the fame and the money, you do not really have a right to call your self a producer, because you are in it for the other benefits, you aren't in it for entertainment of your self and others. Before you even start producing, you have to realize that you will build up a fan-base of people which would start supporting you, and waiting for you to shine again. It would be disgusting if someone would just make music without having the love towards the fans, which brought the person into fame. Also when you don't have motivation for producing, you should just try doing other stuff. Because that way you aren't over-powering your head with hate and anger because you can't produce at that time. Instead you will create your mind to cold-down and just think of all the other good stuff which make you happy. That way your brain would get more motivation, because it had a break a little. If you are a future producer, i wish you the best in becoming a producer. It's all true that we should work hard into making our productions dreams true, but we shouldn't over-heat our dreams. Instead just have fun and keep making what-ever sound-design you are feeling. Infekt is an amazing producer and a amazing teacher. Everyone should seriously be thankful for having such a big persona in the riddim community, which actually takes the production value seriously. I'm 100% sure infekt is extremely grateful for having this carrier where he is able to express him self though music. It's very rare to find someone in this community which actually wants to help others to start. I hope one day i could also start producing, because it's very fun to be a God in a way of producing anything which you feel deep-down in your-self, for everyone else to hear.

well said! I like the over-heating analogy. thank you for the kind words also! I do appreciate being able to do all these things and be in all these places and just to be able to sit here and express myself with music. And of course all the people that ever supported me along the way, because without them it wouldn't be possible. And that's why it feels good to give something back to the community in the form of advice and help for anyone else who's going through the same things I was going through.

@@infektdubstep Honestly i have been supporting your work for a very long time now. I am so glad that you grow your carrier so much to this point, where you are going on tours, having a great time and really being happy. I think maybe you could create your own Discord server. That way you could just gather your fans into one place. It would be easier to interact with them that way, and the fans could interact to each other as well.

@@infektdubstep Oh that's dope. I see from where are you coming from. I hope one day you will make the Discord a public-place for all of your fans to enter, and gather around just having the opportunity to get in contact with the legend him-self. And it would be really nice to see people helping each other, inspiring each other to start producing. Creativity is crazy and infinite.

@@infektdubstep thank you so much for all of the knowledge you've shared. i've been a patron for a few months and your master class is really helping me through the early stages of my sound design career. it means a lot to see that you care and want to see your fans strive. :)

Hey man! the dude that taught me production is Prophet, I believe you and him are buds, could be mistaken, but the #1 thing I remember him telling me was that Music Production is supposed to be fun. I was sitting there in studio frustrated and he told me that. I still get frustrated sometimes just like what you were saying but I always remember, Its supposed to be fun. If its not fun then either stop or find a way to make it fun!

May I suggest a motto that I heard from Eban Pagan: "What other people think of me is none of my business." ... This is a very powerful idea to adopt. It eliminates many perceived problems in an instant.
