We need to differentiate between loneliness and solitude. Sometimes we need to be alone to have peace. Getting to know yourself while you're alone does wonders for your soul and relationship with God. I'm not lonely I'm solid!

Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape.

13:00 that’s what God helped me to understand about loneliness too. Sometimes God will have us isolated for a season so He can be the primary voice in our lives. For me it was a lot of negative voices telling me what I can’t do, so God pulled me away and began to show me who He is and who I am in Him. As painful as it can be, loneliness ultimately saved my relationships and my future.

Pastor Touré gives a perfect explanation of loneliness in his new book Balance. "Loneliness approaches being alone from the perspective of deficit. Loneliness suggests that if I am by myself, I am somehow being deprived of someone." If you haven't read his book, I suggest you do. There are a lot of important topics covered in that book. Stay blessed, and have a great day.

1. Environment: position yourself in an environment where you can connect with people. Tell God that in this environment i haven’t really been able to connect with people - so God can show you how to make connections. Find an environment that is compatible with you and your hobbies. 2. Take focus of loneliness and remember your not alone. Find peace in knowing you’re not alone! 3. Sometimes you’re feeling alone so that you can talk about things with God first rather than people. 4. Loneliness is an unmet need. You begin to feel that people will meet the unmet need. Which makes you feel lonely! You begin to depend on people to fill the void. 5. Loneliness is a state not an identity.

I've healed and bounce back with confidence after that 19 year relationship ended last year. God gave me a mission to bring healing to the broken hearted. I now help women to take the swords out from their back that pierced through their hearts to embrace their new beginning with God. Nothing is wasted. God's plan is fully in motion. Align with him. Walk with him. Follow him. So if anyone need help after a heartbreak, just let me know. Sending healing your way. You got this.

Snaps for this conversation. Growing and learning how to navigate seasons of being alone. I used to believe the shift was in finding happiness. But being at peace is the thing that sustains me daily. Focusing on being more calm and comfortable in stages of rest and overall life transitions. Those changes would adjust people and their closeness to us but, there are people around you. Just continuing to have an open heart and mind of acceptance.

I have been binge-watching the same room with Stephanie, Brenda and Tama for the past week and every conversation has been so healing to hear but specifically, I want to say that everything that's been said specifically Brenda's way of processing things and speaking about her struggles and her avoidance, all these things that she's been navigating through the Gods been helping her I never was able to put words to experiences by myself, I'm going through/going through, so I was very healing to have words put words to it. I give God the praise for it, and I pray that God blesses all of you for such a platform as this.

In my perspective isolation is a CHOICE we make for ourselves. We are never alone even if it is just you in a room God is omnipresent. Enjoying your own company is beautiful that very few can handle. ☺️✨
@itschrischriss
@itschrischriss Жыл бұрын
this isn't about isolation only. you can be in a room full of people and still feel lonely. sometimes it's needed for growth at others, conversations need to be had and like they said, it could be a therapist to start with. You can have great relationship with God and still be lonely at times. I am one of the most introverted people I know. I LOVE my own company but we still are built for community, to give ourselves and receive from others.

Pray for wisdom to know when to help and when to say NO..coz not all assignments that come your way are assigned to you. When the Lord leads you, He always gives you the grace and there is always a sense of fullfillment but when you don't inquire from Him and you do things by your own strength and wisdom you will always feel drained and used.

The Holy Spirit really is my guide because He led me to this particular episode. I relate a hundred percent. I pray that God meets us at the places where we need Him the most. May relationships that bear good fruit locate all of you and may they be long lasting. I guess God is isolating me to use me for the greater good of His kingdom. The things He's revealing to me are out of this world and I don't think I'd experience them to this capacity if my focus was elsewhere. God bless this channel, the hosts, the subscribers and everyone one who has a hand in making it what it is.

Nonetheless loneliness is an extremely painful thing to experience and sometimes you are trying all you can but it’s not working It’s thought me that being Christian doesn’t solve everything and am resentful cos I see people in the world experience so much friendships doing their worldly stuff. I work partly remotely and a weekend graduate student . In between the two there isn’t much time to do anything else. Therapy is not easily accessible where am at

I think the biggest way to combat loneliness is to find people who have walked/are walking through what you’re going through. Sometimes however, those people don’t exist. In that situation, Christians can take cues from people in the Bible who have battled loneliness and what they did to handle it.

i am loving this conversation. when i was alone, i was so much happier because i went to God with the smallest things and everyone said i was funny but i loved it. now i am with someone and even when i talk to the person as lot more than i talk to God, i feel so alone. i also have a question. I thought i did not have envy in me till i listened to a message from Pastor Stephanie and she entreated us to ask God to show us our hearts and i prayed this prayer a lot and later i found out i was so envious of someone i am about 6years older than. i have prayed about it and prayed about it yet i still feel like there is a part of me that is envious of her. i sometimes feel like it is because i try to be there for her yet she finds a way to get the things i want but partly cos of my responsibilities, i cannot get them if i am making sense. i even pray for her hoping if i do it would stop. i really hate feeling that way and i would love if you ladies would suggest something i could do in one of your bonus episodes. love y'all so much❤

I envied someone once. It perplexed me and I hated it bc that was not a me I knew and praying for her helped but not enough like you said. It was the friend I felt the least trust for and though great person, didn't support me in ways a friend should. I would say to you to forgive that person and release her to God. We feel like ppl don't deserve stuff bc of what they did to US but God loves them even when we would rather them be punished or left out. A lot of it is in the release - letting the offense go, have conversation if necessary/able to, and let them be who they are so we can be our best selves. I pray you well on your journey 💚

I got divorced 12 years ago, and have been alone since. Loneliness is an even tougher road when you know you can never remarry because infidelity was not the reason for the divorce. So, there is no dating because it can't go anywhere. Sometimes I feel like my heart is physically breaking. It gets quite frustrating.

My husband whom decided to defend himself before anyone put him down as a bullied highschooler if someone hurt him back then. He is at this age 50ish still defending himself and refuse to be vulnerable. Which makes me and our children lonely. Cause he scare people away and they think he is rude. He is not able to humble himself. Cause according to him and his relatives his dad was the meanest man in town. I believe in community but God has called me to not divorce. We have a 4 year old boy and I need our child not to harden his heart or become a victim. So how do you go threw growing up without loosing a pure and humble and soft heart? What can I as a family member do for my hated husband and little boy?
