Definitely! We’ve been talking about Phantom Stars for a while but I didn’t know about Shadow Stars until that stream! You would never think that the portal network would exclude accessible systems, but that’s NMS for you!

Thanks for this! Used to spend a good bit of time using the NMS service app to explore phantom systems. This video helped rejog my memory on exactly what to do lol, takes some time but worth the effort for your own private, exclusive star system.

I’m glad it helped! With a lot of these rarity hunting streams it’s 2% explainer and 98% looking for the “thing”. I’ll keep trying to post separate explainer videos so other people can find these rarities as well.

@@GhostLightXE has it ever been catalogued anywhere what the numbers mean on the star map of each system? Eg 32F//water? Obviously water means there's water in the system and i know F and G are yellow star systems, but what about the number?

Yes. The stellar classification of each have the letter (which you’ve pointed out) relate to the color of the star system. The number correlates to the average temperature of the system. 0 being hottest, 9 being coldest. If you’re looking for ice planets (for floating mutant planets, for example) check out 8 and 9 systems. If you’re looking for paradise planets, 4 or 5.

【Shades Finnish Pirates】Thanks, i just finished the main story & autophage story and now i can start to view that lore playlist you have as it's spoiler free for me now. I am playing as a Vy'keen, i really love the lore as it enriches the game and rare things also really enrich the game giving you something to wish for to see after all the questing. 5:22 the galaxy starts with "0DA" my favorite anime / manga author is Mr. Eichiro Oda the creator of One Piece / Monsters, the main character Monkey D. Luffy aims to become the King Of The Pirates by finding the legendary treasure One Piece left by the last King of the Pirates Gol D. Roger on the last island on the New World of One Piece Laugh Tale and now that's the story of the anime / manga is out of the way i get back to No Man's Sky. Seeing a Vy'keen with a title "Pirate King" twice, i was sure i picked the right race and i must get either the "Captain" title or the "Dread-Pirate" title to get he lore of my Vy'keen character where i want it OFC finding rare stuff like phantom galaxies is a fitting adventure for the King Of The Pirates. Woah i could need a navigator at my ship, this is quite a lot to handle and i think i will search the known galaxy for a while (like getting my staff to S class) until i start to venture to the unknown. Atleast i know there is this ultimate challenge waiting for me, to actually use my brain to function enough to get me to a possibly a phantom / shadow star unvisited by the people before me and i dunno if that's possible since Traveller's are pretty active & ambitious bunch

Thanks a lot for all your efforts! I really somtimes wonder about my Vy'keen choice, well this game has low violence / good PG rating and i start to think about the first game i played SNES DK Country & Donkey Kong as a character himself as the Vy'keen are pretty much space gorillas. Still i gotta say that even DK had his change to hop on/ slam the ground on some humanoid reptilian pirates, one thing that i have common with the Vy'keen is the bloodlust and i really would like to see more violence in the game so that the Vy'keen get to show what they are made of if they are such a warrior race @@GhostLightXE

An unfortunate callout for Ben, for starters. The emergency warp CAN set you to a phantom star, there’s just more trial and error to it.
