I’ve done this many times. It’s great to know the sweater will not be going into a landfill & it’s an easy way to find great wool, cashmere & cotton yarn.

This is very interesting. I would love to see you take a sweater or vest apart so I can see how it is done easily. I have tried and it wasn’t as easy as RJ’s technique. I must be doing something wrong or maybe there are tips and tricks to know which items will upcycle easily or not.

Thank you! It was a 10. I loved it & found it encouraging, cheerful, artful yet realistic. It did not make me feel othered as I often do within the realm of some knitters.

Be sure that the sweater pieces are sewn together as a whole piece.
