Love your videos and they've helped me become a much better fisherman. I would suggest one thing though. When taking screenshots of the bottom machine why not take a screenshot with the garmin instead of your phone. It saves to the SD card in the Garmin. Much better quailty than a cell phone pic with glare. Would've liked to see what it looked like under the glare in the first pic..... just a thought.

what do you think about finding areas with tons of undersized red grouper? i am talking like 75-90 ft. are there bigger ones mixed in or is it best to just move deeper?

Could you please move that white rectangle in the lower right hand corner, we all would appreciate that :-) Thanks for the great video!

So is there no significant depth change anywhere near there? Does the GoPro work pretty good at that depth? What is the minimum size to keep red Grouper? What do you use for releasing the ones with barotrauma? It would be interesting to see a video on catching that bait. Is the squid frozen?

I see you are using a B265LH Airmar transducer. I have a 22ft Triton that I take out offshore out of Venice La, and cannot get good bottom due to my inshore shallow electronics. I have called many companies around here inquiring about the best xducer for my application but they don't have much technical knowledge on the subject. I am scared if I go with ducer like yours, it will affect my performance on a smaller hull. Do you have any good ducer knowledge or are you just going with a standard setup from the dealer? Very informative and looking to be able to see the bottom like you!

This shall not be a hard question. Many transducers can handle a wide range of depth covered by different frequency range. You can easily find many of them able to handle depths automatically. Mine is Garmin GT41-TM, MAXIMUM DEPTH Traditional: 1,500 ft.; ClearVü: 1,000 ft.; SideVü: 750 ft. my boat is 18, does not need that depth, but, this is what I bought.

love your videos really informative but the fish you are calling a margate in this video is a jolt head porgy, margates look more like a large white grunt

I've noticed you're using the B265 on 200khz as opposed to high chirp. for detecting hard bottom traditional is still the way to go, even with a lower Q chirp transducer?

Do you have a video of your go pro setup? Or is it simply the go pro in an enclosure and tied to a string that you drop to the bottom?

Good video im new in the SAINT p area..can you help me out ..I went to to the dump site and the pipe line and I had to luck.....

cubanisimo29 were you fishing structure? those Are both popular areas and the fish are smart. Downsize your tackle and go much lighter if you’re on structure/fish and the bite isn’t on. Even if you need to go down to 20 pound leader give it a shot.

Yeah, can't find keeper reds. Just small ones 40-100 feet deep. What depth should I be targeting for keepers?
