how to locate a replacement connector for the single wire coolant temp sensor on a 2.4l toyota tacoma , anyone with a first gen tacoma has probably run into this issue at some point , dried out brittle connectors well here's how to find that ever elusive connector for the temp gauge sensor

I just went through this issue, I just went to the junk yard and pulled it off a 99-01 sorlara with a 2.4 it has both coolant sensors right next to each other right where the top radiator hose goes to the engine, the 2 wire green coolant pig tail and the single wire, (exact one in your video); it’s in a good spot on the engine not next to the exhaust so it doesn’t get heat soaked and brittle, like where it is in the Tacomas. Even the squeeze in release part worked like new when I squeezed to pull it off and I didn’t even pay anything, only 2 bucks to go in to the junk yard.

What were the issues you were having with your tacoma due to that plug? Was the sensor replaced too?

Without the plug your temp gauge wont work , i did replace the sensor but just for my own piece of mind
