I'm grateful this video exists, within 5 minutes you explain everything you need to know. I played this game to death early on and became insanely unlucky when it came to finding shiny Zorua. Took a break for about half a year and basically forgot what I was supposed to do when I picked it up yesterday again. Thanks so much! Shiny Zorua finally joined me this time.

" You cant shiny check every single pokemon " Well, you actually can Save before giving the berries to munchlax. Then, give the berries and check as many outbreaks as you can. When the rainstorm/ blizzard ends, just reset! Then check the rest of the outbreaks until you have checked them all. If there is no shiny, go back to the village. If there is one, try to remember where the outbreak is on the map and then reset. Then go there, without giving any berries and capture it. Boom, you will now never run out of berries.

Now everything is fine with me but i just wanna say some stuff, if you're doing mass or massive mass outbreaks that have angry pokemon, i suggest sticky globs because spoiled apricorns or balls of mud might take two hits meanwhile a sticky glob takes one. Also don't get started on the alphas, before i found out you could stun them i was terrified of them. But four sticky globs can do the trick! Sure you can go into battle if ya need to but sticky glabs are the best stunning item. Also, did i forget to mention that sticky globs have a crafting recipe? And its easy! 1 mud, 1 spoiled apricorn, and 1 caster fern. Sticky globs are the best stunning items. Prove me wrong.

Personally, i haven't crafted a single item that wasn't a pokeball in my entire playthrough. There's really no need for it and the game isn't punishing to the point of making that a necessity. If a shiny pops up (this method in the video has been patched), save the game and catch it, the ol' tried and true

Correction: Accidentally killing Pokemon DOES NOT TRIGGER the autosave feature Fleeing Pokemon is the same outcome It only autosaves when you: Leave an Area Or Catch a Pokemon ALSO NOTE: Pokemon that usually flee after they Spot you CAN FLEE EVEN IF THEY'RE AN ALPHA Unless you trigger all of them at once

This game and Ultra Sun. (Excluding the guaranteed shiny Ponyta from the “A Peculiar Ponyta” quest) are some of the very first games I ever played where I legitimately caught a shiny myself instead of being gifted a shiny by a friend or a giveaway

When I Shiny Hunt I usually save in Jubilife before entering an area especially if there are multiple outbreaks that way I can check all areas and depending on what I find I'll be able to decide which to go for in terms of Shiny

At the end if you found a shiny in an alpha out break but it was small. If you were able to knock the smaller ones before the bigger one spawned can you reset your save and manipulate it for alpha shiny

found my first Shiny Alpha today! I'm still pretty early in the game (got it a couple of weeks ago and just got to cobalt coastlands). But yeah I was catching some buizel in obsidian fieldlands for the "Big Buizel, little buizel" quest when I realized "Hey that Alpha Floatzel over there looks a bit different." I had a feeling he was a shiny. But I was on a Quest. To find the biggest dang Buizel ever. I even heard the shiny chime the games uses to signify when you've come across a shiny, but not being used to the chime, I literally walked right past it multiple times. (I had forgotten what the chime sounded like from the shiny Ponyta quest) I literally went all the way back to camp, checked the sizes of the buizel I caught for the quest, and since I didn't have one that was big enough, I went back and that's finally when I realized. "Wait, is the Alpha Floatzel a shiny?" It wasn't til I got closer that I was able to see the star animation that pops out of a shiny when you get close to them. I was like "Shiny Alpha.... O.O oh poop"I was unsure if I was strong enough to get it. Luckily he was about level 26 which is about the same level as my Luxray at the time. I was ready to through like 50 pokeballs at it cause the last Alpha I fought that I tried to catch (Alpha Heracross) Took just as many and I still didn't catch the Alpha Heracross. So Luxray got the Shiny Alpha Floatzel to the red, and I hurled a great ball at him and..... Oh hey... One shot.... Sweet!!!..... and to the box he went cause I'm not a Floatzel fan. XD And that's how I caught my Shiny Alpha Floatzel. XD

Btw, you can easily check every pokemon in a mmo, save after entering it, then check as many as you can. Once it ends, rage quit and remember which ones you checked. Massive mass outbreaks are seeded.

Okay so im getting legends of arceus for christmas and istg if i get a shiny eevee in that game. Not only will i have to wait SO LONG just for a shiny eevee at that point, but ive been hunting it SPECIFICALLY in violet for like, a week. Sure, i can transfer it in pokemon home, but it'll still be so annoying. Plus, i know you can save, but im probably gonna be super bad at dodging the raging pokemon and not lettng them run away. For those who were confused, such as myself, when she says you have seen em all during her example with the teddiursa, it might just mean that even if you try to go for teddiursa again, it will never be able to spawn a shiny (at least to my assumption) and just leave for another outbreak 😅, it only took me the time from when this video was posted till now that I realised it after trying for a bunneary for 3 days 🫠

I've been shiny hunting this Eevee for a while now, going on my 2nd week. I really want that Umbreo! Is there somewhere else i can look that would have a better chance? or have more eevee in it? I've been using the preferred Obsidian Feildlands and had no luck, just a bunch of aplhas. Also, is there a way to highen the chance of getting a break out of eevee? (I have a perfect entry for it.) Ive only seen one break out of it. Thanks for the tips though, very helpful!
