Go to the app store, search Ifly input. This app is mainly used for Chinese people, so they are less known by foreginers. But it works much better than any other paid interpreter apps.

Hi Jing, your last video really helped me understand how to find a supplier on Alibaba, which i ordered a relatively simple product from. However, I feel like the supplier was dismissive regarding some of the specs I asked for, and even seemed to joke (or be a bit careless) about something that I've asked for. This supplier does have most of the good qualities you said to look for, so I'm wondering, is this a cultural difference issue? Or am I just inexperienced and the supplier is taking advantage of this? Shouldn't I expect the supplier to want to provide the best quality in hope for a long term business relationship? Thanks.

Hi, Sara. Thank you for comment. I don't know what products you are looking for, and it sometimes based on products. But I can tell you by a regular basis. 1. The quantity: I'm not sure if you're buying too small quantities which is lower their MOQ, so they treat you not well. If you are just buying a few hundreds USD, then move to DHgate or even Aliexrepss will be beter. If you are buying over than $1,000, which is fine for most Alibaba suppliers, but they prefer sell exisitng design/style than help you customize something. For most manufacturers, they used to get a lot of large quantity orders in the past years, but now situation changed. Big retailer's business are going down, and small business (especially ecommerce) rare booming but they need smaller quantity and customization. While, manufacturers still miss the old time, and it take times to adjust themselves to serve small bussiness. 2. Salesman's personality: It's also an important reason. There are both bad and good guys in China, and there are also people understand or don't understand how to serve clients. It's more because of personality issue than cultural difference. A good salesman should be humble and polite, no matter if the client inquires too small quantity. It really takes times to find suppliers that worth long term relationship. A good supplier won't treat you differently if you are just buying lower than MOQ. I'm working on the next coming video, which is about how to evaluating supplier's background, and how to choose the one that worth long term business. You definitely can learn more info from it.

@@Jingsourcing thank you so much for the detailed answer. I ordered a customized paper product, 50k pcs, and paid a few thousand $. The company has a 3 year record. I think this is a fair order qty to start with and was a bit disappointed with the communication I had after I found out about the small issue with the print. I'm waiting for the product and hoping for the best.

@@art4thesoul The order value you mentioned is good enough for most manufacturers. So I guess it's probably the salesman's issue. You know what, many salesman from Alibaba suppliers are not qualified as a good salesman. Because it's not easy to hire a good salesman with good English in China. So suppliers have to hire people who understand English, even they are bad at guiding and serving clients. If your supplier's communiction is not good, then you'd better to tell them exactly what to do in every step, to aviod some unnecessary problems happening.
