Thanks Jason This is a great update and is really creepy in VR adding something really different to the game. On my first attempt I found the first 2 items then somehow killed myself lol. Just successfully finish my second attemp and got a nice upgrade to my freighter. Hopefully theirs some decent variety when you do the missions. Well done Hello Games for continuing to deliver great value in this game.

A little tip....... if you get two crew manifest sell first one and after donate the other one. Otherwise you wont be able to sell captains log. Because you already sold the first crew manifest and you still have the second one, the game doens't allow to sell the captains log.

Be aware that some of the tricks and glitches shown in older videos may not apply after game updates changed how they work, but mostly, Jason's content is a great guide to success and enjoying the game to the max. Just finished my first one. Didn't specify the fate of the crew, but it kind of told the story of a trading / merchant ship that pissed a lot of people off to the point they attacked them. Guessing they finally got themselves killed or they abandoned it. This was probably the most engaging experience I've had in NMS like ever, lol. Although I'm not sure how long this will last before you've seen it all. And I hoped there would be some salvaged freighter modules to help with that super sloggy grind for them to get your warp engines. Also I feel like this wasn't all that challenging like they kind of made it out to be and gunplay still isn't very good.

Jason, theres a small bug. If you get a cargo bulkhead from the engineering bay, you may be able to fully expand your freighter. I only had one, but it never consumed it on use and I added like 10 new inventory slots to my freighter

My son and I did that last night. He was in vr. Was pretty cool mission. Those crawly things are creepy! Also noticed different daily quicksilver mission. Was scanning surface of planet. Iteration Helios on anomaly gives you an emergency broadcast receiver.

People who have been playing for some time and have huge farms or other favorite ways to gather units, have not had a lot to spend them on. Dropping 5 million for a chance at a random freighter upgrade is quite reasonable I think.

Great place to find living slime. To farm nanite cluster If you guys choose bulkhead, you can upgrade ship inventory. You can now change colour of your freighter

Theres heaters you can switch on to warm yourself up instead of using recharge, they look like small poles and if you look through your visor you will see like a little flame icon that indicates where they are

considering it took 5m units and an hour of time to actually complete, the rewards for doing it seem very underwhelming. you can get better rewards from doing freighter missions and that only takes seconds out of your normal gameplay

It can also spawn from anomaly detector and you can get those free from blasting asteroids. But that takes some grinding.

I know that this isn't an horror game, and that we are delusional if we have expected some creepy encounters with this update. But come on, if you want to give us an almost "horror" experience, then you'll have to do much more than adding some dark rooms and ambience sounds for giving us chills. Why they have given us these ridicolous looking enemies? Was too much asking for an alien humanoid creatures like Necromorphs or the aliens near infested bases? This update is just a disappointment. The only thing worthy of these activities, are the Freighter upgrades. Hello Games, just let us explore a poor version of the USG Ishimura.

I had gone to a derelict freighter the first 10 minutes the update was out and I had no clue what was happening but you get a decent amount of Units and like 500 nanites if you interact with everything

For my first derelict freighter, I was just mining in space, found several "anomaly detectors" amongst the asteroids... Used 2 of them. On the second one it spawned the derelict freighter. Not sure if that is an ulterior method or just a one time chance for the first encounter.

However you don't get any company which for some folks is brutally boring so much so that they can't even play. Don’t start the freighter recovery and THEN warp to your base, if the derelict freighter spawns too close to your base it can completely throw off your gravity axis so that when you finally land everything is skewed! Haven’t had a chance to reboot yet but was a bit annoying!

Is it really a bug tho? You can remotely move stuff between your freighter and the containers, so storage space is not a big restriction any more. You just need to have all your containers built on your freighter.

There is a crashed needle ship in the fighter in 4:39 in the right of the screen. Also you could have activated the other teleporters to go back to the entrance of the ship.( airlock )
