Agreed! It is great to have these protected lands in the city so you can get away from the hustle and feel like you are in the mountains without having to drive for hours. Such a great resource to have! Glad you have had a chance to experience this place as well!

It is awesome to have so many national recreation areas within a few miles of my house. What makes this place so cool is that no development has happened since the 70's so you feel like you are in the mountains when you are in the middle of the city. So much to see and explore without having to drive hours to get to the mountains. Thanks for watching and the support my friend! See ya soon!

One of my favorite spots in Atlanta! I've been going to Akers Mill a lot now because there is a lot more available parking at the trailhead. In the weekends, it is tough to find a spot a the East Palisades. Thanks for watching and the support!

Nice reward to see a bamboo forest on a hike. When I was in the Coast Guard on Maui, there was a bamboo forest a trail went through that was so thick, if you went in about 15 feet, another person could not see you through the trees. Thanks for sharing!

Now that sounds like a cool job! I bet living in Maui was something else! That bamboo Forest sounds a lot thicker than this one too! This is one of my favorite spots to visit and its only a few miles from my home which makes it ideal! Thanks for watching and the ongoing support my friend! PTL!!

We parked at the Indian Trail East Palisades parking lot. The Indian Trail Parking lot has limited spaces and costs $5 per day or requires the Chattahoochee River or America The Beautiful National Parking Pass.
