If it's still not working the way he is explaining it, go to settings, type in voice, go to Google voice typing, and make sure the keyboard button on navigation bar is turned on

I reached for Voice → Samsung Voice Input → Permissions → and I saw the Phone permission was not allowed. I don't know how that Setting was changed. I now havethe mic on the toolbar above the text input window on my Tab s4. On my s23+, under Keyboard List, I had to turn on Keyboard button on navigation bar. The mic button is now in the L hand bottom corner. I hope this helps someone. The video instructions didn't work for me, but it pointed me in the right direction then Comments helped! Thanks everyone!

I've tried that way and others, still no luck. In my toolbar, it's showing a virtual assistant thing. The symbol is stars. When I click the icon, Writting Style and Spelling Grammer Show up. I just want the microphone back in the toolbar. I have watched many videos , none explain how to deal with the virtual aspect. Does anyone know how to fix this?

@@1991windsor On my S22 Ultra, I had to go into "Keyboard list and default" and turn OFF the Google Voice Typing and now the microphone appears in the bottom left corner when I have a keyboard on the screen. And, unbelievably, it works when I tap it.

Oh, my bless you for posting this video! 2 months I have had this phone, thanks to the placement of the mic and the way I hold my phone, I have never noticed it. Googled a few times and updated etc. This is the 1st video that showed me where rather than just saying it would be there on the keyboard. 😊😂

I came here looking for answers, but I figured it out through trial and error. I hope you already found the solution, but in case you haven't, here's what worked for me: Go to Settings, to General Management, to Keyboard list and default, then scroll down to Keyboard button on navigation bar and turn on (mine was turned off), and my mic appeared in the lower left corner.😊

Excellent video, and very helpful, but after doing everything you suggested (several times), the microphone icon still doesn't show up in the lower left-hand corner, or anywhere else on the keyboard. The "Samsung voice input" button is blue (activated) and I've tried switching back and forth to the "Google Voice Typing" button, but neither one brings back the microphone icon. There is just a blank space to the left of the 3 vertical bars at the bottom left (where your video shows the mic icon). It USED to be there and I used it all the time, but I turned off my cellphone two nights ago (I usually leave it on all night), and when I turned it back on in the morning, the problem started. Any ideas as to what may have happened or how to get the mic icon back? Thanks!!

Update! Just by chance, I was poking around and saw a reply comment from a guy regarding a KZbin video discussing this, and he said how he fixed it. On Settings, you go to General Management, and then "Keyboard list and default" and then make sure "Keyboard button on navigation bar" is turned on. Mine wasn't, but when I clicked it on, the mic icon now shows up! Ya-hoo! I'm so happy! 🤣

The problem with tgis video is that it shows the navigation buttons. I dont use buttons, only use gestures. And while in gesture mode, keyboard microphone is not visible. Anyone habe this issue?

Does NOT put my microphone back on my screen. Neither of the two methods described in the video worked. Samsung S22 Ultra. UPDATE: On my S22 Ultra, I had to go into "Keyboard list and default" and turn OFF the Google Voice Typing and now the microphone appears in the bottom left corner when I have a keyboard on the screen.
