"Why would you stop me from having candy, you are an abusive tyrant..." HAHAHA bro, that was hilarious, and a great analogy to illustrate that point, that's pretty much how most people react when not enabled to indulge in bad behaviors and can not see the big picture. Thanks for making this video, you guys are an inspiration.

This advice is really good. I’m realizing how much culture has affected my life. As a wife, I’m hoping that I can be better at my role and help our family get into a godly hierarchy.

Great points on how believing so many small lil half truths & tropes about marriage and relationships, can lead to a life of pain. I’ve witnessed this with my own parents for my entire life. They are strong believers yet this type of conversation has never entered their boomer minds ( I say it with love ) I’ve witnessed an entire room @ a wedding erupting in a standing ovation because the phrase “ happy wife happy life “ was said, again ALL believers. Love y’all for making truthful well rounded videos about the topics that are most relevant & can actually be controlled by our actions. Glory to God !

Dear Scott & Kelly, this video is answer to my prayers. It is just want I needed. I am struggling with my manly hood and relationship with opposite sex. Thank you for making it much clearer to understand the roles and mission in man's life.

Amen, amen, amen. So grateful for the messages you are sharing, Scott and Kelli. 🙏❤ I just have to share a personal testimony here (tried to keep it short!)...In the midst of my stubborn pride and rebellious spirit within the God-given roles of husband and wife, God providentially brought a serious illness to me that has completely shaken things up in the most positive way. Our marriage now looks so much more like God’s design, and it has truly gotten stronger as time goes on within this design. I’m so humbled and grateful to the Lord - His ways are so much higher than our own and we have joyful anticipation for how He is going to continue leading us! I also have to share a favorite definition I've come across over the years (John Piper): Submission in marriage is the divine calling of a wife to honor and affirm her husband's leadership and help carry it through according to her gifts. It is a disposition to follow a husband's authority, and an inclination to yield to his leadership. Where disposition and inclination are heart words, not merely behavior words. We do this from the heart - so it's a joyful submission, not a bitter or begrudging submission. Such a difference!!

Thank you for the language to pray: that God's Spirit Lead us to both to commit to a Biblical World view. Thats the only way this is gonna work. And now I understand why my husband says we shouldn't 'shove religion' down our kids throats, that we should live by example and just let them figure it out for themselves. That is *exactly* the libertarian-type of worldview you're talking about. Scripture is clear we are to teach our kids. Our kids are college aged but Praise Jesus still live at home. So they are seeing the Peace thats come from me getting Saved and husband and I going to church. One of our kids goes to church with us. But none of them Saved yet. It alarms me that my husband doesn't seem to have a concern about this and even got angry at me when I gave the kids an overview of The Bible. But - that honestly was out of order! My husband should've been spearheading that. I did it because he was NOT! (And The Lord did give me an outline). But I understand the earworm causing that thinking now!! I used to think it was caused laziness (and that may play into it some) And he never wants to discuss anything! Now I see *that* as part of this mind virus too!!! God THANK YOU for Truth and Clarity!!!!

Pray and fast and then try to get involved in your church and community. Go to Christian events (appear friendly, smile and dress feminine ). Also just choose a church with more young people. Or older depending your age. But most importantly, pray, believe you will receive it. And have faith in God. Proverbs 19:14 - House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord. Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

How do you teach your boys (children) to be on a mission? Do you have any book recommendations for that? Games for little kids, goals for middle schoolers, jobs for high schoolers? I wonder how we can practice that in a fun way for our sons.

I'm 53 years old, been married 29 yrs. 4 kids still at home. Got Saved in 2021. My husband is attending church with me and Lord is Moving in our marriage and family. God's Design for marriage really is Perfect but you are right, it's utterly foreign for the reasons you've discussed. I think most women LONG to have the man be sold out to Jesus and LEAD like that. Cause I'm exhausted. Utterly exhausted. Here's the fear: this is a perfect system for a Christ - Led man. It's a dangerous system with a man who is led by his flesh. Because he will take his whole family down with him. Oh how we need discipleship on this. I hear *nothing* along the lines of how you two explain it. Lord I agree with Your Perfect Plan for my marriage and all marriages. May Your Spirit Guide us in keeping our gaze on Jesus and in shifting the affections of our hearts so we want this. Give us The Fear of The Lord that we would understand our final accounting for how men lead and women submit. I bless saintly men to understand their role as Leader is anchored in always guiding their family towards Christ, and for that position to be held in Honor. Send Teachers Lord. In Jesus's name
