I always use the box part of Ursa Minor to judge how dark one's skies are.The stars Eta and Zeta are about 5.5 magnitude so if you can see them naked eye then you have quite dark skies.Coincidentally they are a very similar magnitude to Sigma Octantis the South Pole star.

I find that Kochab is way easier to find than Polaris! And it used to be the North star. Can't seem to find any videos on Kochab

I can find Polaris pretty much always via the Big Dipper, but very rarely the rest of Ursa Minor.

You reference one star pattern to find another. Depending on location such as near a city one might not be able to easily locate either of the patterns. Could you mention in your videos a star pattern(s) generally able to be seen in brighter skys such as near a city as starting points to locate stars in the current video dimmed by ground lights? For example state "For those near cities here's another way to locate this constellation using stars you should be able to see."
