Even after doing all the research I find that to some degree it is a hit and miss what becomes popular 😀 Sometimes I'm sure something will get lots of views and it doesn't and then other times a video gets popular almost straight away with similar research!

I needed this! I've been trying to build my new channel since October. I've been stuck at "have a niche and upload consistently". Now, I'm at "use good tags", and I still am not seeing the growth I want. My fave tip from on here that I'm going to give a go at is doing my research and seeing what people are searching. Of course, I'm still going to put up vids that I enjoy making, but I totally agree that one video can change my life, and I thank you for this change in perspective!!

Hey think media, would love to hear what you think about KZbin turning off comments for family vloggers- think they will turn them back on? What about up and coming mommy vloggers- could the niche die? Has anything like this happened before? Thanks for your help and expertise!

That's some valuable content. Those 3 laws are really powerful and one thing I love about KZbin as compared to other platforms is that content can get traffic even 3 years later. On Twitter content lasts for an hour, on Facebook and Instagram your content lasts 24 hours (if it's good) then it dies. KZbin is the best and great video Sean, top quality info right there. Thanks.

Great video Sean and you're right. I have been putting out videos for a couple months and just winged it. But for the last few videos I have gotten serious and dedicated time to research, rehearsing, and editing which has definitely made a difference in my views and responses from my subscribers. It only took me a couple of months to get over 1000 and its growing more everyday. I like your videos and have learned a lot brother. Thanks again.

Great video but I still feel like its hard to find terms that you can rank for as a small channel. For high volume search times, it is very unlikely because all the big creators are up in the rankings with thousands of views. Do you just keep going for smaller terms and build up your ranking power from there?

I'm a Numismatist and to be frank, the video ideas come to me very clearly: world coin videos; banknote videos; different thematics: polymer or papermoney; animals; historic places, etc. The same thing about coins. When it comes to unboxings, I'm ready to explain each and ever coin or banknote because I have master through the years every single detail of them. My biggest problem till some months ago was only my fear of speaking fluid English on camera, but since then I have overcome that fear and do my best explaining them to other passionate numismatists like me. It feels really good now and I'm angry with myself for not doing this from the start because people just don't want to watch your 2 mins, whatever what great coins or notes you might have, but they want you to explain what is all about your collections, etc. People want long videos with good explanation. This change gave me a nice boost to my sub counter lately. 😊

Thank you for this content. I've been at it for two years, almost to 21,000 subs and I wish I had found your channel sooner. I upload almost daily (timber framing, woodworking, etc.) and have found that making my channel about the projects I'm already doing anyway give me constant content. I've also found that with proper presentation a creator can take something very mundane and make it very interesting to watch. I'm still working on it btw.

Loved this video. I know you’ve made videos about generating revenue as a KZbinr countless times on all of your channels, but what about specifically for entertainment channels? Personally, I talk about TV shows, but my efforts to sell merchandise or use Patreon haven’t been enough. I don’t really have any physical affiliate products to talk about, and I’m struggling to find sponsorships that would fit my audience. Would love to hear some specific tools that you’ve been using on your clients to up their sponsorship game.

Hey Sean, what would you say to people from not english speaking countries about their choice of language? Apparently, the views will be way lower for the same niche if you decide to speak the local language, on the other hand, you could grow into being the medium fish in the small pond. So I usually post on Thursdays but I have this idea for doing ‘mini mondays’ where I make healthy mini or bite sized quicker versions of food, but I’m almost thinking posting twice a week is a little too stressful for me at the time since my filming and editing equipment just isn’t that great right now. So I was wondering, if I were to post a video every other Monday and then posted on thursdays every other week that I’m not posting on mondays, would that be a good idea or would the KZbin algorithm not like that?
