Always be yourself. Saves a lot of stress and time. It's the best way to filter out people. Someone stops hanging out with you because you're yourself? Good. No need to keep the mask on and pretend to be someone you're not, just to keep their company.

Also ask yourself, would they defend you or perish for you? This is a true friend. Would you want to be standing next to them in the very worst of circumstances? Good questions to ponder.

I don't change anything around anyone. Apparently, I can't change my openness around, even new people, and my wife has the annoying habit of kicking me in the shins.
