I've been wearing my Bauer Vapor X100 for 2-3years. My skates size is 5EE. I always feel that my skates fit me quite well except the forefoot areas are a bit tight. After watching this video and I measured my feet. The width ratio of both of my feet is 2.55. If I buy a pair of Supreme skates in the same size (size 5), would they feel obviously wider (comparing to my Vapor in size 5EE)for my feet already if I choose a D width? Or do I need to go for a EE for my width ratio to fit perfectly?
@TheKatalystQueen5 жыл бұрын
Totally forgot my width ratio since I did it, but it was definitely less than 3. But in store I tired on a pair of Vapor skates size 7R and they fit totally fine.

I just bought a pair of skates (online) and they do feel snug all around my foot. Only thing is that my toes have about half an inch to the front of the cap. Is it bad to use these skates? (They do not offer he half size I‘d need for the skate line)
@DamnDealDone5 жыл бұрын
I have the exact same measurements as the example outline. 28cm x 11cm. I am a solid UK size 9, but your chart shows UK as size 9.5. It's confusing because you have US sizes only half size larger on the chart, but all shoes I own and have ever owned show the US size to be 1 full value higher. So a UK 9 is a US 10. Would Ice Skates in the UK be labelled as UK sizes so I should still follow the 1.5 size down rule? Which would make me a 7.5 UK size Ice Skate or an 8 going by your chart. I can only buy Ice Skates online because there are no shops near me so this has been putting me off.

Glad I stumbled across this video. Bought a pair of skates and never skated before in my life. Shop fitted me in a size 5.5 Jetspeed which I thought was too small but the guy said to give it a few skates to break in. After my first skate a few days ago, I was in so much discomfort that I decided to look into whether or not the guy was right. Found this video, and it turns out that I should be in a size 7 skate and my feet are wide. So they fitted me in a skate too small and narrow. Going to return the skates and go buy a better fitting pair from a different shop. Thanks for the video!

I haven't had issues with lace-bite in the past but which skates should be wider Supreme 9D or Vapor 9EE? Is it a noticeable difference between them?
@AB-80X5 жыл бұрын
@@zumburumba The difference is very noticeable. Be aware that a Supreme is not wider in the front, it's wider in the middle and rear, and a bit taller. This means that where you feel the width difference between a Supreme 9D and a Vapor 9EE, is not in the same place. If the Vapor 9D is too narrow, a Supreme 9D will be too. Figure out if you're a D or EE, and then figure out whether you're a Supreme or Vapor. If you have wide feet up front, you need an EE width, not a D. I can fit a Vapor okay, but I'm most comfortable in a Supreme. However, they both need to be EE width, same goes for a Nexus. The width difference between the Vapor, Supreme and Nexus is in the back half of the foot, not the front. That's what D, E, and EE is for.

Hi! My foot length is 29.2 and my width is 11 cm which makes my ratio 2,63 - 2,65. Which skates should I go for? Bauer 3d scan suggested Vapor 10EE but I am not sure about it. I tried x600 S17 and had small pressure in the widest area of my foot, 2 cm lower of my little toe on outside. After 3 minutes sitting and walking in them I stopped feeling any pressure ( I don't know why) But all in all the skates felt good, snug. My heel was in place and didn't move up and down when I stood on toes. Then I decided to go with Supreme 160 10EE. I didn't feel any pressure like in Vapor but heel was going up and down a little bit when walking, it wasn't completely in place. I also tried Supreme in D. It was good, snug. I think no pressure but may be too snug. I am not sure how it would on ice... What would you suggest? Any ideas?

We've had a lot of success with this method! It can always happy if you reference skates you've worn in the past and how they fit too. Chase at IW Hockey

Since there is no hockey store, why don't you start one?

Vivien Hounsounou I’m active duty military and will be moving off the island in the fall. I wish I had the time to open one.

It's not accurate, suggests a size that is way too big. I wear a 12.5 shoe and a 9.5 Bauer skate, just bought them, fit great. This is more of a "pro fit" which has the toes pretty close to the end of the toe box, you could go up to a 10 for a more recreational fit. The chart on Bauer's website (same as Ice Warehouse) would suggest I wear an 11, I think that is generous and may account for people wearing thick socks. Most everyone I know skates in thin socks, if that is you as well I would think to start with the suggested size and drop it by 1 full size.

JJ Bienemann I was able to make a trip to Pure Hockey when I stopped through New Hampshire on my way home from deployment. While both CCM and Bauer have 3 fit profiles, the profile that I fit in for CCM was not the same as Bauer. The size for length and width was correct but I have high arches and the Tacks fit better than Supremes. I’m glad I had the opportunity to try them on because I know I would not have been happy if I blindly chose skates that my foot profile fell into with Bauer.

I can’t find a EE skate my size ANYWHERE

I got 26L 11W so no wonder my feet hurt like a mf

Yeah.. those are pretty wide feet you have, you'll want to go with CCM Tacks EE or Bauer Fit 3 skates at the least! Chase at IW Hockey

Nice video, but would be nice if you actually responded to people's questions. That would help the community and people with similar questions.

Vety strange. He wrote that his size 28 cm but chose 27,2 from the table guide.

What is your width ratio? I'll take a double look! Chase at IW Hockey
@@TheMusicTimeMachine. - So I'd recommend something like a 6.5EE Nexus based off that. It sure seems like you have a rather wide forefoot. What skate and skate size are you currently wearing? Chase at IW Hockey

@@ice.warehouse Hey there, I'm currently in Bauer Vapor x800 6.5-D (Can feel a bit of pressure at sides of my feet for sure) .... After two years of wearing them I've just got lace bite at top of my foot..2016 model..I've notice it's a completely different tongue/Lace bite protector on the new version..Guess people complained about lace bite?

Go ahalf size down for growing foot that does not make sense
@Leafs4275 жыл бұрын
Aaron Berry what he means is that instead of going a whole size down just go a half size to have some growing space.

And if you're a girl, you have to do extra math to find your men's size. XD

@@ice.warehouse I saw, thanks! I actually did the tracing method and seems to have worked. Last time I did the conversion method, the shop sold me skates that are too big, so hopefully the tracing one gets me a better result.

@@ice.warehouse Judging by my math I should be in a 6.5 Tacks 9060 or Supreme S27(I don't really know how to skate yet, thanks to the aforementioned too big skates that hurt) but I should be able to buy and try both and return them so long as they're not baked or sharpened? Should I go softer? I'm 5'7" and 185.
@ice.warehouse5 жыл бұрын
@@brookeelayna7217 If you are just beginning to learn how to skate, I would definitely recommend getting a softer boot. It will be much more comfortable for you to learn on! So that would put you in either the Tacks 9040/50 or Supreme S25. And yes, as long as they aren't baked, sharpened, or used, you can send back the pair of skates you decided not to go with.
