Since my moon was only 53 degrees from my sun (backwards) it was easier to just make that calculation and then minus that from 360, arriving at approx 307. Ashwini.

From my experience, the night formula should be applied when necessary in calculating the Part of Fortune. The day Sun transited mine, I won a bunch of stuff. Lots of good news :) BUT it is also conjunct Jupiter, so I guess I don't really know if Jupiter caused the luck or my Part of Fortune (night formula) did. Now, my friend who uses the night formula for her PoF also won a bunch of stuff the day Sun transited it, and hers is not conjunct a benefic planet, so there's a stronger, clearer argument for the Night Formula.

I tried to calculate the yogi point on my own, and I don't get the same result! For your chart that you used 3 april .21 buckeye. For moon I took 120+13,57= 133,57 and for sun it took 240+20,13= 260,13. I get 393,70 + 93,2 (pushya)= and that would be 486,9 that would equal to 7,3 Scorpio. Can you tell me were I went wrong?

Hi Simon.. Great insights.. A quick query if you could give your view please. You mentioned in this video to avoid choosing sounds pertaining to the 8th or 12th house from the lagna if am not wrong. What if the Part of Fortune falls in the 8th house & Yogi Point falls in the 12th house ? Also how does one go about things if the Yogi point nakshatra lord happens to be the 3rd nakshatra from moon which is not good ( tarabalam perspective ) nevertheless both the Part of Fortune as well as Yogi Point both fall in the Scorpio navamsa which has Jupiter placed in it, hence does the Jupiter effect supercede everything ? Just wanted to what parameter supercedes ( overpowers ) if you could throw some light. Thanks Simon
