Nick, I think that if an individual wants to name themselves something like Moon Cat then that is what they should name themselves. Obviously it is not a magickal name you would adopt for yourself perhaps it is where that individual is at that point in their spiritual evolution. And don't forget you can always rename yourself later. :)

Neat thing happened when I did this exercise. My Birth Number was “7”, my Destiny Number came out to “8”, and the name I'm thinking about taking now is a “9.” Any significance is something like that happening? … Why I even ask is that - I had came up with this name even before I looked at the video. I have a thing for water at night and stars. So, in thinking about what my spirit was drawn to, this phrase came to mind: “Starlight (shining) on the (pale) black sea”, and in rendering it to elvish, it came out “Silman'oi' Morear.” I'm a Tolkien fan by the way, and love Tolkien's languages, esp. the elvish ones, so naturally I wanted it to have an elvish-styled name. What I mean is that just because you take a magickal name does not mean it always has to be that one particular name you can always change it or rename yourself at another time. For example there are some traditions within Wiccan that give you a new magickal name at each Initiation (First degree, Seconf Degree, Third Degree).

Perhaps changing the spelling sometimes works with the numerology or try something like: AFallingLeaf or FallenLeaf or SilverFallenLeaf or SilverFallingLeaf (or other color you may prefer that matches your elemental correspondence)?

I want to thank you greatly so much for this video, I'm a fairly new witch so I needed a little bit of guidance. I've come up with the name Tranquil Universe as I am a calm person and undoubtedly obsessed with astronomy. The click with the name was unbelievable! I was having a bit of trouble finding something to go with "Universe." As soon as I saw "tranquil" an instantaneous click hit me. As I started counting the numbers that matched the letters I felt a surge of energy go through me and I knew, this would be it. Tranquil would add up to 5 it just had to, I felt the name on a spiritual level. What do ya know? Tranquil added up to 5! It was unbelievable! Amazing video.

You do not add the two numbers up. You can either match the name you choose to your Life Path number or Destiny number. So for you either, 9 or 1.

This was too cool. I already had 2/3's of my magickal name figured out. I used non tangibles. It is Chiara Allegra Grace. Thanks so much. Without knowing that it was a magickal name corresponding with a destiny number, ultimately derived from my birth name... I had chosen Chiara Allegra some years ago because it signifies the trait I wish to have, but also is clearly connected to my birth name and my sign. To get to the right destiny number, I almost immediately added and chose the right name that would match... a trait I make much effort to be conscious of, Grace.... One day the name "Lilacus (but it came after)Artecus" (pronounced Liyeh-lack uuhs. Art-teh cus) popped into my head. How I decided to form this name was by first having the last part before the first part, formed by mixing Arctic (I like snow and cold things) with Artemis (I like drawing so ARTemus seemed correct to me). Lilacus was formed with mixing Lilac (my favourite colour) with the last letters of the last part "us" So I just went with it because it felt the most right and comfortable, I usally just use Artecus insted of the full Lilacus Artecus (or Arte on occasion). If this name has a bad meaning or something please tell me so!

I know this is an old vid so you might not respond... but when finding your destiny number, what happens when you get down to the three smaller (like my first name was a 39.. my middle was a 14 and last was 11) so while the 3+9 is a double number, the second two were in the singles.. so do i just take another step for the one name? or um..

Add them all together until you get a single number. So 3 + 9 = 12, 1 + 4 = 5, 1 + 1 = 2. Then becomes 1 + 2 + 5 + 2 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1. Your Destiny number is 1.
