The Green Witch

Күн бұрын

I am always in search of simple ways to infuse witchcraft into my daily - easy acts that help me to live a magickal life! Practices like these are what make up much of my content here on youtube and today I thought I'd share another with you!
This was a bit of an experiment for myself and I'm very glad to say that it turned out wonderfully!
I hope you enjoy and let me know how it goes for you!
For my creation I used chamomile, lavender, and rose. The chamomile was used to bring peace, rose or love, and lavender for sleep - though feel free to use any kind of herb that is safe to consume and calls to you.
Be careful if you wish to forage, stay away from pollutants and pesticides and be 100% sure of your identification.

About the expiration date: if you sterilized the glasses you can keep them unopened for 2 years and they continue good. When you open them you have to hurry way more so maybe make many little ones. That's what my grandma does at least. Hope it helps ❤️

Good to know! What if they're not sterilized or you need to open them? Do you have an estimate for how long they would last then?

Interesting as I was just thinking the opposite. Not from a place of criticism at all but from a place of love as well… I was thinking it *feels* like she’s *trying* to be something she thinks she’s supposed to be and feels less authentic than she used to… even the sound of her voice feels kind of like she’s *trying* to sound a certain way. But that’s just the vibe I’m catching/perceiving and means absolutely nothing in the scheme of things. Either way I hope the best for her

I enjoyed watching this video! I have a tip for you though Green Witch. When you had first added your flowers to your bowl and then you added your boiling water I noticed that you covered it with a towel. Try adding a cup saucer over your bowl instead. A lot of the essential oils from the flower or herbs go up and out through the steam so I cover any boiled herbs that needs to set for a little bit with the cup saucer. And then, if it's a cup of tea, I know this is going to sound stupid but I lick the bottom of the saucer. lol.

I made one with rose hips, seabucktorn and thyme or sage to help me with my allergies. It helps to flush out the hystamines and soothe my throat. I love how nature could help me to cope with my hay fever.

Ooooh I LOVE the new art on your arms! Would you ever be interested in doing a tattoo tour? Maybe for patreon? I'm always curious about how people choose to decorate themselves. I've currently got 4 birds on one shoulder, and some Bill & Ted/ Doctor Who crossover action on the other. I'm going to be making rhubarb sauce today. I wonder if I could make a floral syrup that would also taste good with it as a topping over ice cream. I'll let you know!

Annie, would you mind telling us about your tattoos? Of course you don't have to if it's too personal, but I'd love to hear how you pick out a design and decide about the placement. Btw: I love making lemon balm syrup from the bush in my garden. 😊

I am someone who does not believe in anything, but I have been wanting to learn more about witchcraft and Wicca and other spiritual things due to my partner following Wicca ideas, and I really am finding I like the atmosphere of a lot of the potion crafting and cooking with the lens of witchcraft. Your kitchen and backdrop are both really beautiful, the whole music and everything as well.

If you haven't tried coconut sugar yet, I *very highly* recommend it. I am stunned at what a fabulous sugar substitute it is. When you look at it you think _hmmm, yeah... I don't think so_ (not that it looks gross or anything :) it just looks like ground coconut husk) but don't let that keep you from trying it. It's wonderful

This year I was drawn to floral teas, I collected a few things from local herbalists and have been enjoying bright lively teas that bring in the Happy to the Day. dried Goji berries and violet flowers, Bright Pink Lively Happy Refreshment, hot or cold. Wow... love this! I agree with Coly... 2 years with sterilized glass... sounds about right... but that would also include only using sterilized hands and tools when using the formula. It would also help if you put them into smaller jars, so that you could only open a bit of it at a time. Keeping them in the dark will help too.. though they are so pretty that it might be a crime to not display them! As far as preservation.... I do like to use oregano or rosemary essential oil... a few drops per cup of material.. into my homemade beauty items. Grapefruit seed extract is another option. Also refrigeration can help depending upon the item. Overall though, sugar / honey are natural preservatives too! Thank you so much for your work...

Hi Annie Hope this finds you well🥰🥰🥰💚💚 You’re awesome, thank you for sharing your recipes, I made your anxiety salve (my first one ever) it was a bit on the runny side (not enough beeswax but my two friends (testers) are thrilled with it, I did add lavender essential oil as a think I added a wee bit too much chamomile, anyway I had a mozzie bite I put on within a couple of mins stopped itching, put this on also before working in the garden no more bites (added bonus) 👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰💚💚 I was wondering the sugar you use is this normal white processed sugar as it’s not good for you at all!, was wondering if you have tried any other sugar like coconut? I’ll be trying in a couple of days, will let you know how I go! Blessings 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰🥰💚💚
