I’m balanced, but I have a big bust and my hips are about the same width, so it makes my torso looks short..especially when I gain weight.

This is close but not quite.🙂 This is the way I believe to find if one is short or long WAISTED. 🌿🌿That is not the same as how short or long the TORSO is. The torso is the length from top of head to crotch. You can compare that to the inseam (crotch to bottom of feet) to get a sense how short or long the torso is.🌿🌿For example, someone may have a long torso and a short waist or "normal" waist (that means their RISE is higher than "average;" rise means from crotch to thinnest part of waist). Or a long torso and a long waist (so their rise is short or "normal" but their shirts need to be longer than average).🌿🌿None of that means their body is wrong or bad. Just that they need to find or tailor correctly fitting clothes to look their best. Like it can be helpful to know exact inches of rise to look for. For example, I have a "short"/"normal" waist and "long" torso, so wearing pants/shorts with a very "high" rise looks great cause then their waist hits at the narrowest part of my waist and it has pockets where my butt actually is and no wedgie or camel toe. And since my "long" torso means my legs are "shorter" than average compared to my whole body, it looks nice when I use tricks to lengthen my legs if I want. Such as wearing shoes same color as my pants. And wearing/tailoring pants to say ankle or knee length or shorter than knee but not too short and maybe avoiding hem stopping at thickest parts of calf. Heels would lengthen legs too but personally I refuse to wear heels.🌿🌿But above all the best tip is knowing it is not our bodies that are the problem. If clothes don't fit, that simply means those clothes are not cut to fit our body.
