To all of those people asking what to do if they are black, it doesn’t matter. You can still have an undertone. Just keep in mind that just because you’re black, you may not always have a warm undertone as it seems as though at first thought.

Yess add on to this, if you are black or darker skinned, try to identify do you look more cool tones as in grey ish or blue ish? Or warm tone yellow, red or orange ish. As an Indian I have like 500 diff shades on my face so it becomes a struggle to clearly see my skin tone 😂😂

Side note: The face one might not apply to you if you are very fair/pale. Lots of pale people have a natural "flush" to their face/other parts of their body, so it will look pink (aka "cool toned") in those areas even if the rest of the body is actually a different undertone. Myself for example: I'm very pale and I have a flush to my face but I'm actually neutral skin toned/leaning slightly warm everywhere else. So if you're like me I wouldn't use my face as a factor towards undertone and instead use your wrists or something. I know she said both = neutral but I'm more so talking about if your /whole/ face is flushed that doesn't necessarily mean you are cool toned.

I don’t think the face one actually work for most people because a lot of white peoples have natural pink flush and Asian have surface yellow was on their skin so it could easily mistaken as other undertone.

I am roses but I am a warm tone, a light spring, so warm pastel salmon looks great on me for example. Vein check isn’t most reliable. One of the best checks is to see if magenta 🌺 or bright orange 🍊 looks better on you; magenta is cool & orange is warm.

Neutral skin tones might be confused like I was. My veins were mostly blue. No hints of green. Some purple-blue veins under the blue veins. But, I ended up not having a cool skin tone. I still looked bad in cool or warm tones, so I got color matched on Mac's website and found out my undertones are neutral. It completely changed my life. Get color-matched somewhere using your camera and a consultant IF you're still unsure.

+ if it looks grey/greenish you are olive and are a combination of olive+either one of the other (you have to test by comparing next to a warm red cool red and neutrao red is the best test it seems for olive)

Tbh this is confusing. As of now, I find myself cool undertone, more like pink. Warm tone foundation or anything makes me look dead and dull so I prefer pink undertone but sadly I can't find foundation like that. The foundation makes me look very dull at times and fair foundation also makes me very unnatural, since I sint that fair when it comes to my face. Atp I don't know what I am but I can't find foundation that suit me as I can't find pink undertone here easily. Thus, the reason I don't wear foundation and only wear sunblock with tint. Also, I look very pretty and kinda rosy when wearing white but somehow golden jewelry suit me better than silver 😂 so I think I am just an alien. My advice to people be that don't get too obsessed, just wear things that looks good on you. Everyone is different. I don't think there is much to say about this since every skin is different. What looks good on you might not look good on other no matter what skin tone or color so do what fits you 😊
