How to Finish Music: What I Learned From Finishing 500 Tracks

Often finishing a track can seem like an uphill struggle - particularly if you were excited and enthusiastic about it when you started but then it becomes an uphill Slog.

I must put all my energy into one song at a time. I think if I stop and work on another one, I’ll abandon the first one. Trello is great and I’ve used it for years.

Also, listening in the car while driving helps me imagine new parts or new instruments. Somehow I can hear it in my head. Then I take notes.

@@CraigScottFrost Listening in the car or away from the studio works really well for me too - something about being in a different headspace I think! I just find working exclusively on one track at a time a bit claustrophobic but we all work in different ways - glad it works for you :)
