Awesome video. Have you had any experience with the strike pro beakster? It has an odd cupped bill on the front that causes it to swim side to side a lot more aggressively that other ones on the market. It is essentially the strike pro 70 but new and improved. I got one from MTB last month and was wondering if you had any pointers on how to use if effectively.

Not a commonly discussed subject...that it helps to alter conventional methods/gear to fish from the bank. I think there a lot of experienced anglers who dont have a lot to offer on this subject because they didn't put the hours in, or forgot their ways of fishing from the bank. Great tips!

Thanks for the tips, can I also just reel it in nice and steady maybe with a little variation and some stop and pauses, like a crankbait/ rattle trap? mostly so I dont get hung up in shallow water with debris under the surface like tree limbs?' most of my jerkbaits are the 4-6', 4-8'..only one I have is a 2-4' diver, but I plan on getting more shallow divers soon.

I fish a JB from shore alot when I have limited yime and can't get to my boat and launch it in the amount of time I have. I do use a suspending JB, generally a 110 or 110 Jr. I guess thats a slow rise JB but anyway. We have sharp banks on Bull Shoals so I snap rod down and then upwards when it get close to shore. Lol...Im typing tjat as you said snap upward. I caught many walleye this winter doing this, also quite a dew hog crappie as well as bass. I use that upward snap in shallow water from the boat as well to work a hardbait like a fluke. Gives them a little different look when they've seen a million flukes. Rod reel preference for me is either a Megabass JB special or 110 stick with Aldebarens as you can't play the wind as easy from shore as a boat. Those Aldebarens seem to cast into the wind better than my Lews Pro Ti's, but that's just me.

Cut out all the hardware throw the Xrap in the trash and get yourself some strik king kvd j100 suspending jerkbaits, they catch everything, have the best action, and rise..super super slowly. I’ve snagged 100 of em that broke off and floated to top for me to retrieve even off the bank I can throw a spook or popper to drag it in lol… but all that advice is great but why spend $14 on a jerkbait then $10 on strips when you can buy the most fish catching jerkbait the KVDj100(atleast for smallmouth and spots)
