Gonna give them a try this weekend. Lot of pressure in southwest creek but I know they are in there. Hopefully these are the ticket! Definitely one of the more informative channels I watch and I for one appreciate it. Being a local guy is a bonus🤙🏻 Tight lines!

Steve! Thanks for the kind words! That slim swim and the TRD should be the ticket in SW creek! Let me know if they chew it or not.

We can learn so much from the bass world! They are way more advanced than the saltwater gang when it comes to new tactics. Thanks for sharing!

For sure! Do you do any bass fishing?
@FishiganMilligan3 жыл бұрын
@@easterncurrentfishing yes sir but bass fishing down here isn’t anything to write home about lol it’s all about the Laguna Madre and searching for those big trout and reds unless you head to Falcon Lake about 2 hours away.

@@FishiganMilligan lol aww come on Mr. Milligan what about Choke Canyon? lol anyways there’s a ton of great bass fishing in TX. But yah you are right it is more regional to the different regions of Texas. I mean Lake Fork is famous for it but that is way far away from the RGV, like what 10 hours’ drive to DFW area? I dunno...

So good. I love these so much more than your podcasts with guests (though those are good too). This is just more my style.
@easterncurrentfishing3 жыл бұрын
Right on glad you dig them! More to come for sure! Any specific lures you want me to talk on?
@Skurtz0073 жыл бұрын
@@easterncurrentfishing Not really. It’s just very helpful when you’re narrowing in on one particular species and can talk through fishing it throughout the year and what changes in your attack: how they change staging positions, bait choices, presentation differences etc. Each season means you have to change multiple things in your game to catch the same species. Some baits can be used in multiple seasons simply by changing sizes or colors or retrieval speed. You are a great teacher who obviously loves what he’s doing. Pretend we’re all your sons you’re teaching methodically over the years. Hope to be able to hire you to guide us this next year when we’re in Topsail.

great info, thank you. are you using a loop knot on texas eye and ned head?
@bradwadefishtx3 жыл бұрын
Good stuff man. While back you turned me on to the Texas eye paired up with zman DZ minnowz and trout trick and the are my confidence baits. I'll definitely be trying these out. Do you ever use the Chinlockz?

I have used them a decent amount! Is that a hook you like to use?

Excellent video, I'm new to the Carolinas Inshore game so I've been relying pretty heavily on your tips and tricks video. Any possibility you may be able to do a video showing how to tie a ned rig? I've heard of them but havent ever used it fishing the upper Chesapeake bay I never needed it.
@easterncurrentfishing3 жыл бұрын
Would be happy to! Explain what you mean though by tie a Ned rig?
@nozrep2 жыл бұрын
i am guessing he meant how to tie the jighead to the line? I just use the uniknot for everything ‘cuz it is the only one I know. Maybe the guy thought there was more to tieing the line to the ned jighead than your regular knot you use on any jighead? dah well...

Good stuff man! Got on a big school a couple days ago and couldn't buy a bite! I literally asked my buddy if he brought any Ned rigs! Won't make the same mistake next time!

Couldn't help but notice the stack of sebiles on your wall! Which lure are they? And great into video on the ned rig!! Water's cold right now.

It’s there blade bait. I like to fish it vertically for bas but it is a unknown killer in the salt water

@@easterncurrentfishing thanks for the response! I need to check those blade baits out. I just can't find them in stores. EliasVFishing loves them too. I really like Sebile's stick shadd for speckled trout. It has a great side-to-side action and a manageable sink rate that makes it a pretty versatile bait.
