I always really enjoy your vids Andrew, and one reason why is that you always give honest opinions. It's always nice when you talk gear and you give your first choice and then more economical choices. God bless you and yours!

Andrew as always thanks for the help with the Ned rig set up. I am fishing this rig more and more on Clearlake and need to build my confidence. Keep up the training videos and demonstrate how to fish with this set up. This would close the loop on the entire package Steve

One of the best fish catching Ned Rig setups is taking a Berkley 7" ribbon tail worm and cutting it down to leave 2" on the body end then rigging it on a Ned Head! Absolute $$$$$. Try it.

Andrew, great video - explaining differences in ned tackle and what your opinion is on what u like and dont like, what works/doesnt work for you. The whole elaztech myth u explained was informative to me, because I fall into elaztech only baits, now i will be more open to use my roboworm and missile baits ned worms i purchased. And of course now I have to buy some ned ochos to try since u explained about profiles! This was a great topic for me because i fish the ned rig regularly and I learned some good stuff here from you. I picked some good tips too from some of your other viewers who left some comments :) Maybe you could do a series of finesse fishing videos like this one (drop shot, shakey head, neko and any others i didnt name? The whole discussion of the tackle, baits, how to fish it, best time to fish it, location etc. and if u get a chance hit the water and show us.

Another awesome vid Andrew! I do agree with you on the TRD when it comes to not able to add scent. However the flipside, I can easily get 10-20 fish on one bait without needing to feel I need to change. I’ve also learned while it’s not ideal and you have to be careful, you can dip the tail of TRD in JJ Magic, but you have to do it really fast. I learned the hard way using their crawZ and the pinchers fall off. LOL And it doesn’t always work well and the plastic gets sticky too. I totally agree that the Ocho Ned is an awesome bait with this sent it comes with. I also could not agree more with the gear set up you discussed. God bless!
@AndrewUpshawFishing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Mike. I’ve heard you can slightly change the color, but I like mine bright chart. Just personal preference honestly. But yea; I learned the hard way a few times melting plastic😂

I love the ned rig and i had those same strike king ned heads but here in virginia u can not what so ever fish an exposed hook theres way to much brush, and trees and rocks but i have alot of sucess on the weedless zman ned head it just looks like a super finesse texas rig and boy does it get bit our lake has smallmouth, spots and largemouth and all 3 love it i use the trd tickler or the ned ocho and a sukoshi bug and all 3 are amazing and ive had the most success here with greenpumpkin orange it shows up really good in our water as well as brown/purple or amber

Great content man! Like the rhino head a lot. Just wanted to point out the zman u called the pro is actually the nedlock head, the pro series is kinda in between them as far as hook thickness and in between there power and finesse sizes. Thanks for the video

Andrew I’d like to pick your brain on fishing the ned rig in Florida. It’s hard to fish it with all the grass and I don’t really see anyone else fishing it. Briefly what can you tell me about where and when to fish the ned rig. I live in Orlando between Kissimmee and the Harris Chan. Great video keep them coming and congrats on kicking butt at Clear Lake. Great interview on the BTL also.
@AndrewUpshawFishing4 жыл бұрын
So, Florida is a strange place for it, but still a place that you can do it. Z-Man just came out with a little bullet jighead that has a wide gap hook on it. I would use that honestly. Rig it up with a Ned Ocho, black, june bug, or red bug and fish it around grass. The lighter the head, the better. You can also up size your line to 10lb comfortably there. And thank you for the kind words!

Them zman shrooms heads arent great now that there are competition out. The paint comes off in one cast, I've broken more in half than I care to admit. I got a few of the Ned Ocho $2.50 packs from Walmart. Comes with like 6 ochos and 2 ned heads and I swear I'm not turning back. Them things are amazing. Cumberland pro lures makes my favorite Ned head. You can't tear em up.

With everyone thing going on In the fishing industry what if bass started 2 more open divisions a northern and western then broke down elites into say 2 60 boat divisions left the classic the same maybe add 10 boats and then have a championship between the top 20 in each division.
