just got a 6.35 female on the bed 2 days ago at a local lake here in Opelika alabama. they (male and female) were just now getting the bed ready. dirty water so I couldn't see em. all I could see is a cloud and hooked her up first and then the male. unfortunately I broke a rod that day on a 3 pounder (my fault), so I seen your review on the number 8 tackle blackout and had to get a 7ft MH. hopefully it's as good as you say. also great videos. I'm not far from you. maybe I'll see you on the lake one day. keep up the videos man, I watch every single one you put out. I've caught numerous bass on the tips and tricks that I've seen on your channel

Hey Mr. Jean I gotta question maybe you can help. I'm stationed in NC and fish the ponds on base. It's super clear water with a silty bottom with some vegetation on the far ends. there's a dock in the middle but it's almost submerged. the bite never seems to be on in this pond. I've only caught maybe five fish here and all were dinks. I was using a 6 watermelon red worm. But there are some descent fish were but I jus can't seem to figure them out. any advice??

As an Australian I enjoy watching your uploads . I'm a keen fisherman of our native species here . I can't help wondering if fishing for the Bass during the spawn may decrease their numbers in the future . On a lot of species here the spawn is closed season for fishing them .

Hey Gene, what's your opinion on using red hooks? Do they make any difference in terms of catch rate, are they better or worse at certain times of the year?
@phfishing37237 жыл бұрын
NsIX3 red hooks are not better on soft plastics but in some situations like on topwaters with treble hooks they can help get more strikes. A Red front treble on a spook is very good on spotted bass lakes.

I have trouble losing some of the bigger Bass, I hook them but when they jump out of the water they spit or shake the lure loose. do you have any recommendations to help with this, or should I just accept it? nice video.
@TurboRanger3517 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Breland thanks for the information, I'll try to keep more tension on them. I've just always thought if I tried to reel any faster I would pull the lure out myself.
@TurboRanger3517 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Breland thank you. hope you catch some good ones.
@bustinoutdoors73097 жыл бұрын
Jeff Dunn when you hook a fish keep your rod low and when you feel a fish coming to the top to jump start reeling faster if you do that you can control that fish a little better this works for me most of the time but nothing is guaranteed good luck

i was going to make a funny comment --to stay off one of my holes i just fished there last week, then i saw the comments about ryan, my prayers go out to his family. i lost my 33 yr. old son 3 yrs ago the only consolation, i have is he was a saved Christian so i know i will see him again. i hope ryan was saved. everywhere i fish it tears out my heart because i had fished there with my son, i remember when he was about 6 yrs old i lost the biggest bass of our lives right where you were fishing! if you fish chickamauga and want someone to fish with contact me and i will go with you. please repent and get saved everyone for our time is short in this world! this is not for me but for you! read the Bible it is 100% true!
