Good advice. I'm definitely going to put it to work and see how I do. I always struggle with a jig but I have caught a lot on the bitsy bug jig but it's way smaller. I have the same struggles with a chatterbait. I still have not caught a fish or had a bite on one. I think it's just a confidence thing and I know I'm usually in a good spot because I usually switch to a crankbait and just hammer them.

I went fishing on my own today and it quickly ended after the hook was stuck too far into the fish. I didn’t know how to tie another hook so I had to go home. Thank you for this video !!!

Hey Gene, great video! Question, the rods you use are they all graphite/carbon? Would you recommend using glass rod(s) while kayaking? I was gifted a Diahwa glass spinning rod and wondered if it would be good to add to my kayak setup. It's a 7' 3k reel I setup with 40lb braid.

I originally had a ton of rods and reels that were technique specific. I realized that I had too many rods especially for bank fising. I upgraded my rods and reels this year and have 3 baitcasters and 2 spinning rods and reel set ups.

I fished the 2018 KBF National Championship from a 10’ sit-in car-topped paddle kayak with zero electronics (except for iPhone and lighted safety flag) and one rod and reel. It can be done! 😄 KISS

Just give up fishing, rains every weekend and day off plus everyday after work. Not worth even paying for a license
