Unfortunately silicon sealant is not UV resistant (even though it claims to be). Marine Sikaflex is the way to go, and inject some into the screw holes before inserting galvanized screws as an additional precaution.

Which galvanised screws did you use? 15mm?

what do you do when the two rear screws have pulled and the rail has lifted by a couple of mm at the rear ?? as mine has !

If that could happen, the rail wasn´t installed correctly. It´s not the screws that fit the rail in place and carry the load, it´s the Sika!! (Did you use some??!)

Did intend getting one of these for my camper van,that is until I noticed the price of them,......£200 for a glorified curtain rail ????. For another £100 you could go for a Fiamma full roll out system complete. Reimo Multi rip off..!!!
