Hi Tony, thanks for making this video, especially the customisation work. Inspired me to finally sort out the rear fender on my Street Twin, always disliked the number plate position and the arc of plastic above it. Look well tidy now that I’ve cut away the plastic and attached the plate below the seat. Cheers

Great vid. I did that with mine on my street scrambler, admittedly not as neat a job but the same. had it one for about 3 weeks one evening on my way home after a ride with my mate we got pulled over by an unmarked police car. Apparently according to the copper the angle the plate sat at made it "unreadable" from behind... to be fair it was harder to read, but not unreadable. he let me off with a warning like but said he could of given me a ticket for a £1000 for tampering with the plate. Still got it like that though.... its looks better :D
@mancavemoto7 жыл бұрын
KrisMOTO23 That's a shame, depends on how picky a copper is going to be. Tampering with the plate sounds a bit harsh! Having said that I don't want to start getting into 'legalities' on here.

Hey Tony! I just got my '18 Street Twin and I'm in love with it. Already started making some modifications and your videos have been SUPER helpful! Thanks so much for all of the informative videos and resources. I had a question about your LED indicators. Do you remember which part number it was? Also how does the size compare to the Motone billet indicators that you put on your Motone t100 custom build? I'm trying to see if the Triumph LED ones are too big. I love the bullet shape of both the OEM and Motone indicators but I'm torn because the OEM ones are LED and brighter (but not sure if it's too big) while the Motone ones seem a bit smaller but are not LED (I'm sure you can replace the bulbs for LED?). I'd really appreciate it if you can provide the length and width measurements for the OEM LED vs the Motone billet indicators. Thank you!!! Byron
@mancavemoto Жыл бұрын
Thanks Byron, glad the videos are prving to be useful. To be honest there isnt much difference in size, neither are particularly big and I was happy with the Triumph ones on my bike. You can unscrew the aluminium bezel and paint it black which looks really good. Thew other plus point is that they come with the factory connectors, so no having cut wires and recrimp new ones. I don't have the bikes anymore so i'm not able to take any measurements for you.

Hello Tony, great video! really helpful. Would you know if i'd be able to mount the Motogadget m-Blaze Pin (or something similar) to the tail tidy? I've just checked and the tail tidy can't be used with the grab rail rack. I assume the rail must interfere with the rear light? If you use it on a T100 or T120 then you have to switch to the bench seat, again i assume because of the rear light position.

Dear Tony, another question to help me with something silly. I've already spent one night to gather information about it, but unsuccessfully. I saw you assembled the led indicators without using any resistance. I did the same but the blinking frequency is faster than yours. I saw on some forum people showing that pushing for 10 seconds the "i" button, you can access to a menu where actually you have 4 different settings selection (called type 1,2,3,4). They suggested to change the CPU setting from type 1 to type 2. Apparently works. How did you resolve this problem? Thanks a lot for your support!
@mancavemoto6 жыл бұрын
Are you using the Triumph LED indicators? I didn't have any issues with the flash speed, they worked as they always have. I don't know anything about the CPU setting, sorry

yes, same like yours... thanks anyway!
@mancavemoto6 жыл бұрын
May be a stupid question, but have got LEDs on the front too? If not that would cause the problem you are having
@gennaromoraca45476 жыл бұрын
Yes, I confirm. Nevertheless, there are two size versions of those official Led lights, same design. On the front, they have installed the longer one (it's wired if is this the reason for the malfunction). I've asked the Triumph dealer to change those to have the same pair installed on the back (shorter in size), also because are much better aesthetically. However, their answer was that I should change the setting in the CPU using the procedure described above... Keep you updated on the final result... thanks again!
